uberpubert69
I've just been browsing craigslist today to see whats on there and I've found these 2 listingshttps://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/ele/4658131670.htmlhttps://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/for/4669622559.htmlBoth are basically the same. I'm not worried about the monitor or anything I'm more worried about figuring out how to mount an arcade stick/controls onto it since both are missing their control panels. What do you guys think? tthurman
A showcase style cab with no control panel half is going to require a lot of work to get to a useable state. They are so big and bulky, you really need to be standing back from them a few feet, and it would seem attaching any panel to it would be like watching a movie on the front row. Makes me wonder if someone didn't just want the CP portion make a pedestal for a big LCD, which would basically reproduce the same effect. If you're wanting an upright style cab, I'd recommend you pass on these, and keep looking for a more suitable shell.

But man I really want to get something going, and I like free/cheap. :/ Here's my PC rig that I have and my TV that I want to put into a cab. tthurman
I hear ya! My project is coming along so slowly it's almost discouraging. While I was chatting with Darren the other day about it, i was suddenly inspired by our conversation to get something together as a make shift stand until such time mine is ready. It's certainly not going to be the full blown out custom stand I've concocted, but what I've pieced together is turning out better than I thought it would. I've just used an old work table that I cut down some time ago, and threw the old legs back on the smaller surface. It's a little low, but it works surprisingly well, and for such a simplistic approach it works amazingly well .<Edit>This the bonus room, so I've got plenty of space, hence the pedestal to LCD (Cheater style showcase). I'm just going to sit the computer under it.I'll post an update when I get some more progress made, but it should work pretty well. Granted it's not a thing of beauty or anything, and while she might not look like much, she's got it where it counts. After messing around with this idea, I guess what I'm saying is don't be afraid to venture off on something completely unconventional.

I still have to get an arcade stick but I have a couple 360 controllers and a steeringwheel to hold me over in the meantime.
stigzler
$20 for that second one!!! Get it man!!!You'd pay around $70 for that double coin door alone. If ya don't go with the showcase format you could strip it for parts and save a fortune.Man, you guys are lucky over the pond!
