Visualizations in Jukebox and Radio

Hi all,

I am a complete newb to Gameex. I have been using the software for a few days now, and have Mame and some other emu's setup and working well. Great stuff. I just made my donation this afternoon for lifetime updates.

I have searched through the forum for an answer to my problem, but I can't find it. I'm a newb so please be gentle.

I have my config setup to play visualizations. When I play music in jukebox or radio a small visualization will appear in the lower left corner, but I can't get it full screen. The FAQ says it's in the playlist somewhere, but I can't find it. I have looked in the wizard and can't find anything about using the visualization full screen.

What am I missing?

Hi Moogster and Welcome to the GameEx Forums!

I believe there are two settings which affect how music visualizations are displayed within GameEx, but TBH it's been so long since I've messed with either of them that I can't remember which of them is more pertinent to your question. Please check the following settings:

The Audio Play Mode setting found on the HTPC / Multimedia Settings screen in the Setup Wizard (You'll want to select 'Clicking songs visualizes')
and
The Enable Visualizations setting found on the Tweaks / Performance screen in the Setup Wizard (Naturally you'll want to select 'Yes')

Like I say, it's been a while since I've messed with it, but I think the combination of the above two settings will get you where you want to be.

Thanks for the response.

I double checked that I had visualizations turned on in tweaks, and they were on.

I failed to look in the HTPC settings, and I changed the audio setting to "click the song visualizes", but it still won't go full screen, just the small box in the lower corner.

Hi Moogster,

The menu at the top of most themes (the horizontal one) changes depending on which section of GameEx you are using. So, while in Jukebox, look at the horizontal menu and there should be an option labeled "Play List/More". Select it (you will most likely need to press left or right for the menu to take focus), then you will have a new page with many more options including "Visualise". That'll stick it in fullscreen for ya

Keep an eye on that horizontal menu as it changes depending on which page you are viewing

I knew I was missing something.

I got Mame plus running on Gameex, but couldn't get the visualization to work!
