Hi,

as gameex tries(!) to grab the music album covers from amazon.com I found out that these jpgs are stored in the /media/albums folder (Ok, not too difficult to figure out but anyway :P ). For different reasons I'm not too happy with this amazon solution as it is not very reliable and precise. Concerning this I already added a feature request (but it's more a feature suggestion) HERE.

Now that I know where the jpgs are stored it was an easy task to replace the poor and/or wrong album pictures from amazon with better ones by simply replacing them with "my" jpg-files with an identical file name. B) . So far so good...

Now I'm wondering whether it is possible not only to replace existing jpgs but to manually add jpg-files to this folder for all my albums amazon doesn't know... .

My first trials doing this were not successful as gameex didn't recognize these jpgs.

My questions now:

- is it generally possible

- do I have to follow a dedicated file name (i.e. based on ID3 tags), which ID3 version is recognized by gameex

- is there any editable "index- or ini-file" where I will have to assign the jpg's to the album of choice (couldn't find anything on the first glance)

Great if this would somehow be possible and even greater if someone could tell me how to do this...

I'll look at adding folder.jpg support for the next release so it will scan the current album directory for that first. That will make it easy for folks such as yourself.
