Draco1962 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Read about it here. Dungeon Keeper Gold Edition FREE via GoG.com! GOG is also offering a 75% discount on Dungeon Keeper 2, meaning you can pick it up for just $1.49. The game includes a level editor. 2 Quote
ClassicGMR Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Got this in my email this morning. I was all over it! A great gem from the heyday of PC gaming! (yes I think PC gaming sucks now but what do I know? )Check here to see what was sent in my email. Quote
hansolo77 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Question.. WTF is GOG? I've heard it mentioned a few times here and in other forums. Quote
Draco1962 Posted February 14, 2014 Author Posted February 14, 2014 Good Old Games. Many are what would normally be considered abandonia but now available for resale at considerably less than they were when originally sold and often setup to use SCUMMVM or DOSBox preconfigured. There are a decent number of newer titles as well.EDIT: Well, I did it, got both Dungeon Keeper 1 & 2, and also sprung for the AD&D collection. I think that's about all for now. This minute. Nothing else. I really mean it. No more. Dammit. Quote
hansolo77 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 So a game that wouldn't run in today's systems is pre-configured with the DosBox emulator to make it compatible? And this game is free? Sounds like a winner. I might have to check these guys out. Quote
nullPointer Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 GOG is also proudly (some might say fiercely) DRM free. So for those folks that are resistant to the "Steam-like" model of, "you must use our client in order to play games purchased from us," GOG is a breath of fresh air. 1 Quote
Adultery Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Usually the games are not free Han. Cheap yes, but not free. :-)DRM free, as in buy it once and install it wherever you want as many times as you want. Quote
Draco1962 Posted February 15, 2014 Author Posted February 15, 2014 I think he was referring to the free Dungeon Keeper offer. I had to re-read myself. 1 Quote
DazzleHP Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Thanks for the share! GRABBED DAT SUCKA! Quote
hansolo77 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Yeah I was talking about Dungeon Keeper. Pretty cool too their 80% discount on the other AD&D games. I don't have the time to sit on my bedroom floor (don't have a desk/chair since the fire) and play all those great games again, but I'd love too. I own the original Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. Both were great. They weren't the complete editions with all the expansions, which is a nice touch from GOG. I'd like to play BG 2 or NN2. There's just not enough time and money in this poor mans life to make it happen. Least not now. Quote
davidj1987 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I bought this when it first launched on their site, but glad they updated it to the Gold version... AMAZING game and bought the second one since it was so cheap on sale. Quote
