Hells yeah! That's exactly the point. A tip regarding the charge shot if i may: At first i know it seems useless - it takes a lot to charge and for what seems like little pay-off, but it is valuable!

Now that's what i'm talkin'bout! A real shmup on the boards, and a classic too B) Despite my alias' i'm not terribly good, but this one i like! imma brb :P

-EDIT- i have two in my set - a JP and USA version (and a bootleg but im ruling that out)! I'm assuming it's the USA version for now, but clarification would be appreciated as there can be differences in my experience :)

1944 ROMSet version

Every hi-score game in our competition has a summary of game settings you have to use. As for 1944 you have to use the 1944 ROMSet version (see game settings post #1)

ROMSet 1944 = USA version

ROMSet 1944j = JP version

ROMSet 1944d = USA Phoenix Bootleg version

I hope this clears things up ;)

Yeah I was about say, the rules say to use 1944 romset, not 1944j or anything, so it should be the USA. Honestly though I don't think it matters, other than the fact that you can't understand anything (unless you read/speak Japanese ^_^).

Nice score Han ! I really like this shmup !

A World War II shooter on the boards, yeah!!! Beats all of the Call of Duty's and other wargames > a lot more fun and way more addictive ;) Let's play this game people :D

Yeah, trying being like me and playing with a game pad. I don't have an arcade cab/control panel so it's all game pad plays for me. My thumb get sooooo sore playing these games. :)

Thanks...yeah I enjoy it too. I'm not really playing for the top spot when I am playing the games...it is just an added bonus :) And it always feels nice when there is a game I can play well...because there are some I cannot and do not have the patience for :)
