Mame32 not working through GameEx - Solved

Hi

I am new to GameEx and I like it a lot. I am setting up a renovated cocktail table with GameEx and I am having trouble getting my Mame emulator to work. I am using Mame32 (the exe filename is Mame32p).

I have double checked and triple checked the links are being set correctly in the wizard. All my ROMs work fine when i launch the emulator from the exe. All my ROMs show up in the list displayed by GameEx but if i try to play one i get a black screen then it returns to GameEx.

All advice would be most welcomed.

Welcome! In the last of the MAME options when running GameEx, did you click on Update? This updates the list of available MAME games to run in GameEx.

Also, reporting a possible GameEx bug or error, please ensure you submit a copy of your log.txt and gameex.ini file so we may quickly assist you. Please refer to this link for additional information. You may also want to look at the instructions for runitgame.bat for obtaining additional diagnostic information.

I am not sure where to find the update list option, can you provide more details?

Last item on the MAME list when you load GameEx and go to MAME.

That would be in the Mame option from top menu then which if you disable is not shown any where else.....I got it now, thanks.
