Strange bug

When I go to "more games and programs" and play some of my windows games that I have set up, after playing a game, when I return to Gameex, the screen starts flashing with strange bands running up and down the screen until I exit Gameex. In particular, this always happens now with the game Typhoon 2001. This never happened before with that game in previous versions of Gameex. Most of the games like Hamsterball still work great and don't do this. I could always disable that game, but it would be nice to have it working again. I don't think this has anything to do with my setup, and Is probably a bug in the front end.

Could be a number of things. You didn't note if you had tried to run the game through the emulator outside of GameEx. If you get similar results outside of the front end, then it is something with your PC setup, possibly a conflict between the game and video driver. A little more info starting with sharing with us your log.txt and gameex.ini files whenever reporting a possible bug is always the best.

It works fine outside of Gameex. Strangely, if I play the game in windows XP (outside of Gameex), the screen is fine after, and other games that I play after play fine, but if I launch Gameex, I get the weird lines and flicker. Whether I launch Typhoon 2001 from Gameex, or before Gameex, it does the same thing.

This never happened before with previous versions of Gameex, and my drivers and codecs are all up to date and unchanged from the last version of Gameex that it worked without this issue.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. It looks like you've got Typhoon 2001 setup as an emulator (which is fine). Currently you've got Show Desktop to true. It's kind of a shot in the dark, but see what happens if you change that setting to false.

ShowDesktop will allow the Desktop to be shown instead of a black screen. Unless the application is a full screen DirectX Application or if you just get a black screen set ShowDesktop to True.

Hmm ... I suppose if you're running Steam you could always import the game into Steam and see if it plays any better through the integrated Steam functionality in GameEx. I'm a pretty big fan of importing my PC games into Steam for the purposes of GameEx so that they don't take up a bunch of emulator slots on their own. Just a thought.
