Adultery
I think it's a problem with the viewer using DirectInput instead of RAW Input personally. That may also affect the MAME Pause process too if it is.

nullPointer
There are a couple of settings here that I'm curious about in your ini:[Display]Rotate=0FlipX=FalseFlipY=FalseAutoRotate=FalseRotateLeft=FalseScreen=\\.\DISPLAY2SubScreenEnable=FalseSubScreenDisable=TrueSubScreenInterval=10000SubScreen=\\.\DISPLAY2I should reiterate that running CPWizard on a second monitor is outside my realm of experience. Here's what I suspect.I believe the Screen setting refers to the monitor in which MAME is running.I believe the SubScreen setting refers to the monitor in which CPWizard will displayAs a result, I don't think Screen and SubScreen should be set to the same monitor in your case (this would apply more to a single monitor rig)I also think you'll want to set the SubScreen to be enabled. (I believe this last bit may help with your timeout issue as well)Here's a screen shot illustrating the fields I think you'll want to adjust.Bear in mind that I'm sort of taking a shot in the dark here. The above recommendations may not be exactly right, but I think if you play with these fields a bit, it will put you on the right track.

8trek
okay well i've played around with several combination of settings and still having the same issue, the game starts then window minimizes, then control panel comes up, then goes away after a few seconds, then the game reappears.I think at this point we're going to need the assistance of the developer of cpwizard.... don't know what else to try we haven't already.thanks. nullPointer
Hello folks, not sure where we're at on this. Can someone tell me the best way to get a hold of the guy who wrote cpwizard... headkaze is it?Yep, you can reach him right here. I also sent him a PM regarding this issue when we discussed it earlier in the thread. I believe he’s working on some pretty exciting stuff right now, meaning he’s also very busy. The point of which is that you may not receive an immediate resolution to your issue, but I’m relatively certain he’ll get you going on the right track when he has a moment to address the issue.Hey, if you guys get this resolved via PM, would you mind posting the resolution here? This thread has received quite a lot of hits, meaning there are a lot of people interested. Posting the resolution could potentially be a big help to several users. Thanks 8trek! headkaze
I see that Adultery posted about the D3D version too. It's tough to debug these type of problems. The MAME window can be a bit of a pain to deal with. Can you try turning off the "Skip Disclaimer". Also try setting the switchres setting to "0" in mame.ini.
