I split this out from the original post since it was so old and the Op (jrock2004) needs to provide us with more information as to what issues he is having.

@jrock2004 - Please let us know what issues specifically you are running into with using the Game Extender - thanks!

Depends on where you are wanting to send it. I think that you could probably program it to update a page on a website or something similar. 127.0.0.1 allows you to use it on a second monitor connected to your desktop.

It shouldn't matter if your LAN is using 127 addresses. You can't use 127.0.0.1 though because it's your localhost. What IP Addresses do you get listed in the combobox? Do you know which one is your LAN address?

If you want to get your LAN address you can select Start->Run and type 'cmd' then enter 'ipconfig'. It should display your IP under "Local Area Connection".

If your mobile device is connected to a static IP in your network via wifi, then it should not be an issue. Most newer routers will allow you to assign a static IP address within the range you setup for DHCP. This will be essential in order for you to ensure that the device is always the one to receive. A dynapic IP address can possibly change if another device is introduced and grabs the IP.
