[RESOLVED] Game EX update not working

I know this is my fault but here goes.

I just had to re-instal my PC again.

GameEX is not installed on the OS drive so when I finished re-installing windows I just dragged the gameEX.exe shortcut to the desktop.

Everything works fine accept when I do updates, it keeps on asking me and downloading but the game ex instal never updates.

I know it must be to do whith where the updater "thinks" game EX is installed.

Your help would be greatley appreciated :)

My guess is that, since this was not initially "installed" onto what is in essence a new machine build, there may be some files or registry entries missing that need to be present in order for updates to occur. I would recommend making a backup of your custommenu.ini and gameex.ini files (just to be safe) and downloading the latest version and perform a full install to see if this resolves the issue.

Thanks mate,

I backed up custommenu.ini and gameex.ini and ran the gameEX installer.

dont think I even need to backup the file as Game EX left everything as it was.

Now I am fully updated
