  1. Not sure if this is the best place for this topic, but I am curious if and or what antivirus people for their cabinets? I have not be using one as I really do not surf on that machine but thought maybe I should try to put something on there. Thoughts?
  2. I am curious if there is a reason that GameEx downloads Mame 145 and not 148? If not is it ok just to go to mame site, download new version of mame and point GameEx to use that? Thanks
  3. What video card are you using? If you click on start and in the command box type dxdiag What is showing as your direct x version?
  4. Before the game starts I want to see which buttons I will use for what? It would show an image and say the red button is for shoot, the blue button is for pass, and the yellow is for turbo. Tempest, I will check out the CPWizard
  5. Understood, about the above comment. That is what I wanted to try to do but that is not as easy because knowing what is required for just a single rom has not been an easy task.
  6. I believe the reason the roms could be trying to load and going back to the gameex menu is due to not having a complete set or possibly other files. So I am thinking that just a single rom is good enough if the rom is part of a set. So I am thinking you can close this issue because the issue is not in gameex but with missing the required files for the rom. Do you agree with this?
  7. Yeah close this up. Unless you are thinking that having complete sets are not important?
  8. Not sure if Gameex can do this but is there a way to see for a certain games what buttons to use? If so how do I do this? Thanks
  9. I think I know the problem. I am still learning about how mame really works and I believe my problem is not having the proper sets for the roms to work.
  10. The log is not being too helpful but let me post it as it may for someone else. 16:21:25.9 2/24/2013: Running: cmd.exe /c C: mame.exe ddragonub -rompath "C:\Roms\MAME\Roms"16:21:26.0 2/24/2013: Shutting down display16:21:26.8 2/24/2013: Writing Stats16:21:26.9 2/24/2013: Plugin: Game Exit16:21:26.9 2/24/2013: Plugin: Process Commands16:21:26.9 2/24/2013: Refreshing Keyboard16:21:27.0 2/24/2013: Initialising Audio16:21:27.3 2/24/2013: Restoring Window16:21:27.3 2/24/2013: Reinitializing Graphics System16:21:29.1 2/24/2013: Reloading Game Info Page16:21:29.1 2/24/2013: Returning to GameEx
  11. Looking at that first screenshot in the post, It has a 192 address and I only have 127 addresses.
  12. As an old post, is this still how to configure live?
  13. Thanks. That did the trick
  14. So I went thru rom center and fixed some of my roms. Now in GameEx do I have to refresh the db for MAME? How can I manually tell it to do this?
  15. I would think I could set the IP address to something other that 127.0.0.1
  16. Looking for a nice guide for setting up game extender. Is there anything out there? Thanks
  17. Hmm, I did. Now I backed up before I did this but I cannot find the favorites.ini file that should hold them. Hmm
  18. What did you just overwrite the gamex directory? If so did you lose your settings?
  19. So I am prompted to do an update and I select to do so. All it does when it does after I do the install wizard is load up the old version and prompt me to install update again. Now I noticed a new extracted folder. Is this the new version where I need to move that folder and overwrite the old one? Or do I need to start everything over again?
  20. Sorry to bring an old post up, but for the server the only option I have is to set it to 127.0.0.1
