  1. Well I personally haven't played them any wheres close enough to say whats good and whats bad...and more to the point I have no interest in giving you a sales pitch. If you want to ditch the Jag then do so...most of the games are available on other plateforms that are better supported any ways. To me the only reason to have the Jag is just pure geek factor of having it and being able to play a handful of games on it. My point of view tho.
  2. The roms in general are okay at best...the cd's tho are more or less a waste of time currently...maybe when and if the emu's for it improve will things change. I'm currently using PT...tho I may try some of the others and see how they fair.
  3. Thanks for the feed back...its good to hear it works...heh never did try it to find out for certain my self.
  4. Well the ScummVM setup would probably be a little heavy handed for the task. That said I've attached what I currently got for NeoCD/SDL which for some reason or another is buggy...it seems to work fine...then after a few different Neo-Geo games have been played...Daemon Tools for some reason not only mounts the CD image...but opens it as well...stealing focus. Now my self I would suggest you convert your ISO+MP3 files over to a single CD image...that is provided you have a CUE file along with those. *crosses fingers* Now to do this you need Nero v7...or at least this is the way I do it. Fire up Nero from the "Data" shortcut folder in your Start Menu. If the "New Compilation" wizard pops up close it by pressing "Cancel". Ideally you'll have your Toolbar showing...if not then select "View\Toolbars" from the Item Menu. In your Toolbar you'll notice a drop down combo box...click on it and select "Image Recorder" rather than your current CD\DVD burner. Now select from the Item Menu "Recorder\Burn Image..." You should now be presented with an "Open" dialog...from here browse to your Neo-Geo ISO+MP3+CUE files...and select a "CUE" file that is grouped with ISO+MP3...now click "Open" At this point you should be greeted by an "Burn Compilation" dialog...make sure "Write" is checked then click "Burn" A "Save Image File" dialog should pop up...browse to where you wish to save the CD image and give it a name...ideally its correct long name ie "2020 Super Baseball (1995-02-25)(SNK)[!][NGCD-030].nrg" then click "Save" Now it should only take a few moments to create your new CD image...at which point you should be notified that the burn process completed and be asked if you wish to create the same image again...I'd suggest making one is good enough so click "OK"...and you'll be back at square one again...needing to repeat the whole thing again to create a new and different CD image. Oh this can also be done with ISO+WAV+CUE as well...just fyi is all.
  5. I've noticed when importing Emu INI's that once its been imported and saved the "Emulator ## (Some Emu)" buttons don't refresh to make the change apperent to the end user. This I feel would greatly make new users feel more confident about the changes they are making, and giving better feed back to the user as a whole. Also I was thinking that having the Emu number off to the side...out of the actual button maybe a good idea as well...since some Emu's maybe given long naming conventions...maybe while a button isn't assigned it should just display a few question marks to let the end user know its currently not in use. It would also be nice if the number of Emu's that could be used would be increased...I currently have 26 of the possible 28 available used....and will likely have all of them used as soon as I work out a few bugs. Or maybe allow breaking the Emu's up into group's...idea's any ways.
  6. In the GameEx control pannel under "Input Settings" is where you want to look.
  7. I hope you meant that your load times "decreased" I use diskkeeper my self but O&O is a good one as well.
  8. Well in the readme.txt for neocd.exe it lists the following Player 1 Player 2 Joystick(1 and 2) -------------------------------------------------------------- Up Cursor-Up R Joy-Up Down Cursor-Down F Joy-Down Left Cursor-Left D Joy-Left Right Cursor-Right G Joy-Right A Left-Ctrl A Button-0 B Left-Alt S Button-1 C Space Q Button-2 D Left-Shift W Button-3 Player Start 1 2 Button-8 Player Select 5 6 Button-9 Toggle Fullscreen F1 Cycle Video Effect F2 Increase Frameskip F3 Toggle Sound F4 Take Screenshot F12 (snapxxxx.bmp) Quit Esc ---------------------------------------------------------------- That said I'm having a hell of a time getting it to go full screen by default.
  9. Yeah it does but I honestly perfer the one offered by Sysinternals, but thats a personal pref.
  10. Yeah as amos_82 suggests give that a try if your on Win2k or above...tho if that doesn't work like that try the following different versions of the same thing. Tho thats for your game ini but you could just as easy paste the strings in to the GameEx control pannel...as amos_82 has suggested.
  11. Well what I had for LaunchAfter could very well have been wrong...since I don't use J2K. Some thing like below might be more correct: LaunchAfter=%windir%\system32\taskkill.exe /F /IM JoyToKey.exe Course thats assuming that GameEx can use system vars...which more than likely it can. How ever Advanced Config is probably the way to go....just to keep things as clean as possible.
  12. odd it should if its enabled in the control pannel.
  13. Frankly I don't know since I'm a ghetto-gamer...ie I lack a cab.
  14. Try looking over at B.Y.O.A.C.
  15. oddly enough I have issues when trying to use shortcuts like that...the shortcuts by them selves are fine...but if I go trying it through GameEx...I run into issues. Far as I'm aware...most excutables will look for a file first in their own directory...unless told to look else where. So in my above example j2k would be expecting pinball.cfg to be in the same folder as j2k.exe...so in that fashion what I suggest above is ugly. Maybe we need var's like %working% for the current working directory....hehe or maybe we already have such things and I'm just frankly unaware. *Update* The JoyToKey stuff can be done through the GameEx control panel, second page of an Emu under "Advanced Config"

    Timing out??

I can't say that I've ran into this, but I do hope it resolves its self some how.
  17. Check out the attached file I have here. It should ideally remove the need for creating dozens of shortcut links...provied that you have all your CD images in one folder...ideally all CDI with the games normal naming. Also note that HeadKaze has a command-line option -delay to allow for the disk image to be mounted...should the Emu launch prior to it being properly mounted.
  18. Okay I personally don't see why this forum is so hot and heavy on creating shortcut links to contain a command-line. I'm not knocking the main information...just the creation of a shortcut. It seems to me that it would be cleaner to edit your Emu ini file for GameEx or enter stuff through GameEx's control pannel. Just seems like it would be one less file to have to contend with is all. hehe now I'm going to go hide before I get my ass chewed. PS Tom has made mention that GameEx has the ablity to do all that JoyToKey does...maybe it would be even cleaner to make use of that feature...*hides*
  19. Well I could contrib to the setup files in a few days...still trying to get things logically laid out to where I'm happy with things before stuff gets more out of hand.

  21. Seems this version rather than just simply ignoring a bad Emu being enabled...it actually exits. Not sure if this is the best behavior...tho I honestly can not say its wrong ether. *Update* LOL this is a ball buster now...hehe any thing that I have thats in the config wrong its calling bullshit on. FreeDO v1.8

Yeah they are CD's and here is a list of a few you may want to keep an eye out for: Alone in the Dark Alone in the Dark 2 Cannon Fodder Captain Quazar Casper Crash N' Burn D Dragon Lore: The Legend Begins Fifa International Gex Guardian War The Horde Icebreaker Jammit John Madden Football Kingdom: The Far Reaches Lost Eden Lucienne's Quest MegaRace Myst Need for Speed Novastorm Panzer General Quarterback Attack Return Fire Road Rash Samurai Shodown Shanghai: Triple Threat Shockwave Shockwave: Operation Jumpgate Shockwave 2: Beyond the Gate Soccer Kid Space Hulk Starblade Star Control II Star Fighter Super Street Fighter II Turbo Super Wing Commander Theme Park Total Eclipse Twisted: The Game Show Wing Commander III Wolfenstein 3D Yu Yu Hakusho I have yet to try the new build...but from what a few said its faster than prior builds and games look cleaner. Generally it runs decent if your system is fairly modern...mainly CPU bound than Graphics or at least prior builds where.
