zona thanks for the help on this...I'm actually probably faster at doing that kind of stuff...even tho I tend to put stuff off. I got some macro's for UltraEdit that regex clrmamepro dat files, how ever with Raine I was also able to fire up the command console and verbose to a file the games list. Prompt: raine32.exe -gamelist>game_list.txt Now I have to go back and rethink some of my wrappers.

I like long file names. Seeing "dstlkur1" doesn't excite me. Seeing "Darkstalkers; The Night Warriors" does...some people like my self are easily amused this way. Thanks for the info.

Hehe I'll take that bet. J\K *Update* Just installed and viewed the setup wizard...very nice and handy, major props for that. The Emu download is nice, even tho I didn't try it...but a few things that maybe nice add's would be to query what emu's are currently installed...and what versions they are...so that ones that are already installed could be displayed as already being installed...hehe some people have a lot of them and get forgetful. The version bit would be to simply inform the user if whats available on the server is newer than whats installed...and maybe even have it inform the user if there are newer builds out than whats on the server...RSS feed or some thing like that. Maybe develop a standard in which all the FE's can use...for notifications...that way maybe the Emu dev's may help support it. Just idea's and not very well thought out ones...hehe kind of match's my nick.

Yeah you'll just have to set the GoodMerge\7zip field in the GameEx control panel to "Yes" then you should ideally be golden.

hmm I think so if they are converted over to 7zip format...but standard zip or rar I don't think so...but I'm new to this stuff and don't fully grasp the power of this application.

I'm looking for offical detailed doc's for the Raine32 arcade emu....I'm looking to create a wrapper for it...and doc's would be a huge help. So any one got a link?

Yes 640x480 is 640 pixels wide by 480 pixels high. hmm money to do themes...hehe might get me interested in this. Tho I still have yet to finish my consol icons....after that I might start looking to do a theme...tho likely be for my self so it would be 1280x1024 since I'm a ghetto gamer on my PC currently. Tho I'll likely release my work\source files so that others can toy with them or resize as needed.

Okay got a question for you guys...what major Emu's are we still lacking support for. I'm new to the sceen so please by all means fill me in and maybe I can fill in the missing Emu's over the next few days.

Your welcome...and tho I may sound like I kind of knocked night's batch scripts...it was his prior postings that got me going in the right direction...so props to him for that...even tho I never stated so prior.

Okay this is an issue with Daemon Tools....I've had mixed results...tho with SSF I have never ran into that issue...tho I have done very little thus far with SSF...so my lack of issues carries very little weight. Any ways if you don't have the Daemon Tools system tray icon showing...launch Daemon Tools from the start menu...so that you can now see the system tray icon. Right click on the system tray icon and select "Virtual CD/DVD-Rom" then the virtual drive you are using...then click on the sub menu "Set device parameters" Here make sure that "Auto Insert Notification" isn't checked...then click "OK" Next right click again on the system tray icon and select "Options" and make sure in the sub menu that "Autostart" is not checked...I'd also suggest making sure "Automount" is also not checked....personal pref tho.

Okay full screen is a simple matter...launch the emu how ever you like...directly or from GameEx....once its loaded press ATL+ENTER this will toggle it full screen...then simply exit it with ESC....next time you launch it...it should be full screen. Basically SSF use's its last used settings...so if you closed it while it was in a window...it will run next time in a window...if it was full screen...it will launch full screen.

Now I really don't see the need for batch files, seems like a lot of work thats not needed. I have my Control Panel Command Line: SSF.exe My Control Panel Launch Before: "C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe" -mount 0,"[RomPath]\[RomFile]" My Control Panel Launch After: "C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe" -unmount 0 And every thing works fine...all CD images are in one folder, with proper naming, the rom filter is set to scan only for the required file to mount the image. My 2cents tho PS RC9 is out for SSF

I'll take a look at it and see if thats good route to go...normally I use FlashRenamer...but thats not freeware...which is my primary concern since I don't want people to have to buy things just to use my methods...tho I kind of throw that out the window with that UltraEdit Macro...tho I will be looking into seeing if I can create a Macro using PSPad or the like. Any ways thanks for the heads up, and I'll get back to you on this as time allows.

lingpanda by all means share how you did things...yes I'm working on a different method of sorts...and its mostly there...I just need to write a script to rename Snaps and Movies and such...manually altering that many file names blows. Besides not everyone will want to do things my way. Heh options are a good thing.

I haven't gotten that far yet....still getting all my Emu's in order before I start playing with other features...but this is one of those things I hope to get my hands dirty with in the near future...tho till that time...I can't really offer much help or advice.

Well I'm not sure if its the theme doesn't support the resolution that your currently set at...or if GameEx needs to be set to fuction in a resolution supported by your monitor. Any ways try going to the "Display Settings" page in the GameEx control panel and make sure X&Y resolutions are set to values supported by your monitor...if it is...maybe try a different one...that may behave better with the theme you are using. keep in mind this is all guess work on my part...and no actual experince with this matter...so you may want to search the forum for other like subjects posted in the past here.

I'm not certain but I think its on the "Enable\Disable Features" page in the "Enable Most Played:" field.

Well I personally haven't tried doing that as of yet...mainly just trying to get things setup as quickly as possible...thus why I downloaded sets premade. How ever if you got the room you may want to check out EmuMovies for video clips for a number of systems...they really do spice things up. Well best of luck.
