  1. Mainly yes..FBA I know has a few not in mame. I haven't really looked closely at the roms...with nearly 3tb of storage I tend to be a bit of a pig.
  2. Brian, Yes this is what I'm doing as well. Generally it works and works well...but there are times when things fail. I haven't noticed the Emu's still running, so GameEx is closing them...it just seems to run into issues of its own some how.
  3. Well you can find WinKawaks & Nebula setup files here. Hehe and FinalBurn Alpha which isn't getting much love here. So over all setup time should be low...unless you need a rom set.
  4. Okay when using a gamepad button combo to exit an Emu would some times cause GameEx to crash...this was largely seen on the WinXP box, even after a fresh install (OS\.Net\GameEx\Emu's). On the MCE box which hasn't been pounded on much I've experienced, nearly the same thing...Mame would exit but I wouldn't return to GameEx...black screen and system hang, requiring a hard reboot. Note on the WinXP box I could ALT+TAB to the error box and close things out, or use the Task Manager to kill process's. This is not a constant issue...its goes in streaks and not one directly after another. This appears to happen more often when closing and relaunching the same Emu. I have not seen a way to consistently reproduce it...its largely hit or miss...and as I haven't seen others grumble about it...seems to be a corner case of only me thus far...tho I'm also unsure of how many people make use of the Advanced Config...I only just recently started to toy with it. Link to prior thread.
  5. Sweet Question any luck finding that bug I've ran into using Advanced Configs to exit games with gamepad button combo's? I've tried it on two different systems...only thing the same is the CPU. System 1 Spec's: AMD X2 4600+ 2gig PC3200 nVidia 6600GT ... Logitech Dual Shock gamepad WinXP SP2 .Net 1-3 System 2 Spec's: AMD X2 4600+ 1gig PC3500 nVidia 6150 ... Saitek P2900 gamepad Win MCE 2k5 .Net 1-3
  6. Right now MAME is my least fav...tho I think it is currently running all Neo-Geo games. The net-play of the other three offers up more enjoyment. I have yet to really look into Neo-Geo CD support in ether WinKawaks or FinalBurn Alpha...but I do know its supported in Nebula. That all said I've been mainly toying around with FBA..hence my vote. If your not interested in net-play or having a bunch of video filters to select from...just go with MAME...other wise give the others a look see.
  7. No new games...and it tends to be more unstable...that said it runs like a bat out of hell.

    WinIPAC_J2K

Well here you go lingpanda hope this does the trick...hehe other wise I get to go back to the drawing board...I think this is what you where wanting. For those interested this is to allow a custom config to be loaded into WinIPAC to configure the control panel...then it also launches JoyToKey with a custom config for gamepads, then at the closing of the game\emu it loads back a default config for the WinIPAC, and kills JoyToKey. I guess Tekken 5 has this option available in the actual arcade cabinet and lingpanda has done this modification to his cabinet as well...which actually sounds like a neat option to have.
  9. Since there was no feed back positive or negative I have since moved this to the Config sticky thread here.
  10. Hey Tom...any chance you got around to looking into this? I have since brought every thing back up from scratch...and still get this error from time to time. On another note mashing the keys seems not to be required...how ever GameEx still errors. *Update* Well it seems to have gone away...tried the newer drivers out for my gamepad than the stock winxp drivers...seems to have gone away now...or maybe I'm just getting lucky right now. >>>>>>>>>>>> Yup it was just a lucky streak.
  11. Well there are several different types of searches...and as such there is thus far not a good one size fits all application out there for it. That said here are a few of my picks...if one doesn't mind spending a few bucks. PowerGrep Ava Find Duplicate File Detective UltraCompare
  12. API release
  13. Hehe just caught the thread...didn't seem like some thing I could really help with since I haven't built one...but I do like the brown nosing. I'd have to differ any ways to everyone here...tho its not the route I would go my self. Reason being that I'm a journeyman union carpenter and I have nearly every thing one could want short of CNC tools. Hehe and I have the stubbed finger to prove it. Any ways if you need some one to suggest the right tool for the job...I can do that...other wise I'm of no use.
  14. Good deal, then I'm moving it to the configuration thread. Thanks for all the testing.
  15. Well I guess not then...since it goes through USB.
  16. Any chance getting support for these?
  17. I look forward to giving it a go. Heh got to finish getting my system back to life first tho. thanks
  18. Okay while not many have downloaded this...I do feel enough time has past to have heard any issues that may have cropped up. So you can now find the files here at this link. Please still feel free to comment and any required changes can and will still be made. Thanks
  19. Actually you are aware that I changed names used in the Settings.ini that refer to the configs....that maybe the source of your problem. I updated the loader...added back the kill key...currently set to ESC
  20. I can confirm this issue. Normally run MamePlus...however I get the same error with ether MamePlus or Mame...with multi path rom sets.
  21. Since several people have downloaded and not commented...I'll take it that the new wrapper is golden. Please see this link, for files now.
  22. "limited user mode" doesn't that just mean not automatically granting new user accounts admin rights? Hehe You can lock down users fairly tight in windows...the problem is...you have to lock them down. Most people have no clue how to do that...or that they should. I typically run with admin rights...but when kids are over I let them game on a locked down account...can't save files...cant download files...hell can't even use the internet...they can only execute what is visible to tha account...which isn't much.
  23. "GameEx has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Error Sig I was going to send you an OCR screen capture of what the MS report was....but by the time it hit item 54...it was dragging on for to long and it wasn't even 2% through the list. If it prints it to the drive or to a log some where let me know and I'll dig it up. Hehe by the way clean out your inbox...tried to PM you and it failed.
  24. Okay now its not happening like it was...it did it once post .54 with zinc...and now nothing...zinc or winkawaks. Great now I get to look like the guy that cried wolf.
