Or if the emulator supports multiple different render's, select and use the DX one...generally this is an issue with OpenGL.

So Mame32 runs fine out side of GameEx? Because its important that Mame knows where every thing is, and can function fine on its own...this applies to all emulators.
-
Well I'm running a build thats very recent...however I'm not running that rez...I'm at 1680x1050...which seems fine other than I need to make a few custom graphics for a few things that get pixelated at that rez. Switching between MCE and GE seems fine here tho.
-
I've brought this up before...and Tom sort of did a lesser version of what was purposed...basically he has it to where you display the games from a group of emulators as one list. Course rather than going by brand I was looking to do it by generation of consoles\PCs\... Anyways yeah I hope some day it'll make it in.

Okay well No-Into did some dats for those...I know that much...I'll dig around a bit...but dig your self and we'll see what we end up with.
-
Well no clue what system...but if you can get me that info...we can probably get things setup in GameEx if there is a Emu for it.

Doom bucket - Well you would need to grab a copy of clrmamepro and use that...but if you didn't know that...I'm not about to try and instruct you how to use it...for one I'm no expert, and if things are done wrong you can really mess up your roms. Google for a tutorial on it...its mildly complicated but not bad once your use to it. Make a backup of your roms prior to toying with it tho. I'd highly suggest you learn and get comfortable with clrmamepro along with TorrentZip as they will save you tons of time and bandwidth. Also learning the basics of AutoHotKey &\or AutoIt (prefered) for those odd ball times when you need to script around some thing...tons of sample code floating around there for both. Also getting a hold of good text editor for scripting SciTe, PSPad, UltraEdit (prefered),...If you are working with multiple systems in any fashion network them and learn to use Remote Desktop or like application...well really not much to learn there other than just setting it up. Grab your self a decent file manager Directory Opus (prefered), xplorer²,... you can find a fairly decent review of some of the more popular ones here. Also you should grab some fairly standard shell extensions as they will greatly ease your journey into GameEx bliss...a good starter pack can be found here, with "Run Program" being the most helpful as it maintains a history of command line values you have ran on a given executable. Theres tons of other suggestions that can make things a lot easier...but...to much change in how one does things all the sudden can have a negative effect as well. JohnnyG- hehe okay but just this one time. j\k

1. Your rom set may not match the build your using of MAME...there have been a lot of changes in the past few versions...so make sure the roms match the correct build of Mame. 2. Hold your button 1 down and then press the joystick down or up...depending on which direction you wish to go through the list. 3. Well you can copy its shortcut into the Start folder...there is also some thing called Instant Sheller I think that takes you more directly into GameEx with out having to login....its listed in the FAQ Well it gets emailed to you...then you follow the directions in the email and your all good....if you lose it...more than likely Tom has a record and can reissue you the same key...the key does not restrict its self to a single system...tho the idea is donate per system...tho not really enforced...but by no means does this mean it should be shared with all your buddies other wise you may find it revoked. I personally have one key and its used on two systems...my main Comp...and my HTPC. ========================== Damn I"m getting slow

thanks for the link...but it would still be nice to find a way to convert cdg's over to text...I got a mess of Irish songs that would simply be a blast when using that app while getting a good drunk on. Plus my cdg collection is rather large...five digits and one comma are involved.
-
Actually Ultrastar looks interesting...tho I'm now curious if there is any way of converting cdg's into the required txt files.

Hehe just had to flip you some shit. Actually its not in Toms thread...but will be...just have to do some minor clean up on it. Basically remove the PSD since Adultary was the only one that took an interest in toying with it. And yeah there has been a lot of activity on the forum as of late...I keep losing track of things as well...and not keeping up on my cross linking to different threads.

I'm just not getting any love here. There is a loader with Map file, import INI and all that jazz...in of all places Brians thread.

Well I'm early in a complete rewrite...but right now I'm not even using empty file entries...just the map file...I was oddly under the impression that a map file as to display the proper name should a rom be present...this seems to be incorrect...the map file actually tells GameEx the rom exists whether or not that is actually a reality. Also I've noticed with the files I have...that scummVM isn't keeping to standard naming when a game is setup through its UI. As a result I've taken a different approach to account for this. Basically I parse the scummvm.ini created by the UI thats in appdata to create a map file based that information. I still have yet to deal with CD based games...which is likely where the wrapper will come in...as things stand right now no wrapper is needed excluding CD games. Attached file is Beta at best. -

Yeah I know...but I'm going through them making them more native to GameEx...no Xpadder or anything that might cost the end user some dough. Plus a lot of my older stuff is rather sloppy. My scummVM one makes me ill just looking at it. -

Okay going through and updating these as best I can...no included idiot sheet tho....err instructions I mean. I'll be gearing these to work as natively as possible with GameEx & Daemon Tools...tho it would help if GameEx didn't strip double quotes, when multiple sets are present in the INI line. (hint, wink) -

I'll likely just post links to the files as since I switched over to DSL from Cable I ended up with MSN as my eMail host...and they suck. -
They must be uncompressed other wise it would effect the performance of the user interface in a negative way. I'm unsure about whether or not PDF's must be or not...actually it would probably be nice if it does support those in archives.

This happened to me twice in the past...no clue what was the problem then...however I'm registered...and don't have a virtual PC setup to test. My best guess is that somehow the install got damaged, so try downloading and rerunning the setup once again to see if the issue clears. Oh next time use a more descriptive topic title, it will generally get you better and more direct help from those that may have experienced the same issue in the past.
-
Currently I'm unaware of anyway to do this...sorry.

Well the rom folder defined in GameEx must contain a file that match's the GoodName entered into the database for the information to be displayed inside of GameEx. Myself and a few others generated a huge amount of newer databases...but they are worthless until I get around to getting the proper GoodNames entered into the db's other wise it will be largely a crap shoot as to if some thing will show up or not.

2007.07.12 Improved key emulation memory usage and speed Fixed a bug where mouse speed was not accessible if mouse movement was not in slot 1 Fixed a bug where both mouse speed directions were not accessible if both mouse speed directions were assigned Fixed a bug where the Download Image dialog text was misleading

...you mean a import INI to use MESS with a given system? I guess because no one has gotten around to it. There is a lot of quality emu's out there that have little to no support...I'm hoping to address some of this with that loader thread of mine. I'll look into MESS in the next day or so...but the more people pitching in the better.
-
Now you sure you want to be slapped? hehe that could leave a mark for a while. Okay I'll look into getting some thing put together for that.
-
Sure make the INI needed. Should be the same as whats used in Mame.
