  1. The support folder is located inside the archive I've attached to this thread.
  2. Well right now I'm not running Zinc standalone...but the import ini in the support folder should give you a good idea.
  3. You'll have to create your own IPC files in the Controls folder...as for one I don't know what they look like other than they are suppose to be ASCII files. You'll need to make whatever adjustments in the Config folder, mostly pathing & rendering settings. You'll need to make sure that WinIPAC.exe gets registered in the registry....mainly nearly everything is the same as the xpadder version just dealing with I-Pac's...so refer to that PDF loosely as you set this up. Since its standalone your looking for you'll need to import the "[Arcade] ZiNc.ini" out of the Support folder making adjustments far as pathing...make sure the pathing is correct for the map file...or things won't work at all. I'll try to put together a clean set of instructions tomorrow...and if you can get me a set of IPC files to go along with this package I'd be most grateful.
  4. Well the map file would be used so that Zinc gets the right info to launch the games...the rom name...or the game name for that matter are worthless to Zinc...as it wants is the numeric value that represents that game...thats why you see 49 prior to the pipe symbol as thats what Zinc needs to launch Soul Edge. When dealing with Zinc from the commandline that is.
  5. Well quick question...did you have a map file? 49|Soul Edge 50|Soul Edge 51|Soul Edge ...
  6. Okay give me about an hour to fiddle around...mostly because dinner is about ready. I'll have an I-Pac centric Zinc build ready. Hehe then you'll be my test subject.
  7. Okay...do you want the chds to work...and if so...what encoder are you using.
  8. 9.11...seems Tom didn't wait for me...blah. You hear "Game Over"? I've never heard that...old zinc loader...as in my old one? or someone elses? Now are you wanting to run Zinc standalone or grouped with Mame? Your using a keyboard encoder correct?
  9. Oh I use IRC when ever I get the craving to bitch at tosec
  10. Hehe glad to hear things are working for you. Oh...that...not that I'm aware of...but who knows...someone with some talent and interest in this might try having a go at it....but I wouldn't hold your breath.
  11. heh yes you are. Well if your video card has dual outs...maybe hook up a LCD to that with a long cord and just plop it in front of the Cab's monitor and work off that...and once done...just disconnect...course thats not exactly working on the fly.
  12. If the main issue really is just when your working with the OS and such...why not just use Remote Desktop and access the system from a networked computer at your proffered resolution...
  13. Some things are better in Makaron...some things worse...so its a matter of pref's right now more than one being better than the other...I don't directly have issues with nullDC...hehe just the DC.
  14. Could be very cool
  15. Well at NewEgg the biggest 4x3 monitors they have available are 21" However they do have a HD CRT thats 27" and maybe worth looking into....its a Samsung TXT2793 27" SlimFit HDTV
  16. Heh I was wondering how long it was going to take you to find this out. See the problem is...GX is running AI/AHK/BAT or whatever...then those scripts end...so GX assumes correctly that it should fire back up again. So the trick is to keep the scripts running until the child programs are done running. ;Launch Xpadder Profile Run( 'G:\Gaming\Xpadder\Xpadder.exe "Doom 3 360 Controller.xpadderprofile"' ) ; Launch Half Life 2 Run( 'G:\Gaming\PC Games\Half-Life 2\hl2.exe' ) ; Wait for Half Life 2 to End ProcessWaitClose ( "hl2.exe" ) Hehe now waiting for the "You guys suck!" comment.
  17. Well I'll likely be giving Gens32 another try as I've discovered that after applying a patch for XP SP2 running on AMD64 X2 my issues with getting any build of Gens to run has been fixed...and Gens32 which did work prior...but stayed in memory...now no longer stays in memory...so my perspective on that one is likely to change...not sure if I'll prefer it over Fusion...but I certainly won't frown about it anymore.

  19. LOL
  20. Once the script has been compiled the executable no longer requires AutoIt to be installed.
  21. don't remove the extension...rename it....so go from .col to .rom and try again. So back to what I said before...and if you don't want to go through all that hassle...use a different emulator.
  22. Test file Well you can see what I'm up to with the link above...tho I'm certainly up for suggestions for how to go about things in a better way. Base idea is that GX would extract to a default folder like C:\Emulation\ and the archive would put a lot of folder structure in place...anything not used...the end user can delete...which is far easier than creating new directories for what they do have.
  23. PM Tom about your finding...maybe he can perform a fix for the next release. Oh and you're welcome.
  24. check a few posts down.
  25. Are the roms on a network shared folder\drive?....is the directory structure really deep? Is the drive been defragmented recently? If not...please check it...and defrag if required.
