  1. Im.not a home at the moment but everytime I loaded up a Rom I would get about 10 files missing in the windowed emulator UI. Off the top of my head the command lines were emulator.exe [rom] and I think emulator.exe [rompath][romfile] and cps3.exe [rom] for the cps3 emulator (I was searching the forums for suggested command lines)
  2. I've now finished completely setting up all console and handheld emulators, next I thought I will try and set up arcade stuff, anyway my CPS-3 and FB Alpha emulators both work outside GameEx flawlessly, I set them up via setup wizard but with both emulators when launching them from from the FE I get the UI from both emulators pop up saying there are files missing, probably an easy fix, I searched the forums as much as I could and also tried different command lines but to.no avail.

I think that Zelda games are a matter of love or hate, I don't really think theres an in between , atleast in my opinion anyway

@sew, Yeah I kinda agree with Majora's mask, I never played it on n64 but played it on the GameCube Zelda collectors edition disc, I do however feel that ocarina of time is slightly overrated, most online game critics put it in the top 3 games of all time but I could think of a 100 better games.

@nullPointer I remember uncanny X-Men with the near impossible bosses and no direction within the level. I borrowed it off a friend and the only thing decent was the boxart

@Adultery I'll give that a try later on today, Athena was like a second rate wonderboy. Typical 8bit graphics but poor game mechanics like the jumping was awkward and her kick attack was really short lol

Update: I just tried Athena on the NES, and it's awful.

I do agree with Adultery in regards to Final Fantasy VII, but ive only played about 4 hours worth of Final Fantasy VI,I couldnt really comment, but the OST to FFVI is one of the best I have heard. Never played Athena on the Nes but ill give it a blast tonight @nullPointer - Psychonauts on the original Xbox was a great game.
  10. I recently had a dispute with a friend of mine about overrated games, it turned into a heated debate, he was like COD this and COD that, which totally annoyed the hell out of me. I want to see what titles everybody else would consider overrated or even underrated. Also what is the best and worst game you have played. Overrated: COD Black Ops, Ok visuals but boring..boring..boring, Underrated: Most 8bit games from the late 80s, ;-) . Best: Resident Evil 2 PSX, This title still stands out for me even 15 years later. Worst: Juiced 2 HIN, I hated this game with a vengeance. Also has anybody had a headache from playing a specific game, mine is Halo 3 on the 360.
  11. Ok, thanks for the info guys, it's nice to feel welcome rather than ignored, like in other forum's.
  12. It is just a case of overwriting my current .exe files?
  13. Hi, Having restarted building my gameEx frontend (after a 2 month break), Ive finally managed to get the hang of everything. I just wanted to know that if I make a donation will i need to start my project again. Thanks
  14. I need abit of advice with a couple of things. First thing is that I run my whole desktop pc through a 42" LCD tv with an Xbox 360 wireless controller(no mouse/no keyboard). I use joytokey on startup and have mapped keys to my 360 buttons. The keys I map to my 360 buttons act as the buttons in the emulator I have thumbsticks acting as mouse/left+right button, and use the onscreen keyboard. Is there a better setup for my situation as some emulators conflict with my j2k for config(the cps3 emulator for example. The second thing I need help with is a way to exit all emulator types with a key combo whilst in game ex, I've tried to set this up but have been unsuccessful, as I think my j2k config is conflicting with it, also the config in advanced gameex setup doesn't save the options I choose they rest themselves upon exit the reopening
  15. @draco1962 Thanks, got it sorted now, my problem is that I was changing the paths to my own instead of keeping to the original path (if that makes sense). I've got 4 emulators fully finished (artwork etc..), it's much simpler to do if I take my time. Having used Maximus for the past year, I prefer gameEx simply because of the way it looks and acts, maximus got boring and had too many bugs.
  16. Hey, I used the setup wizard to configure Rom/emulator paths, on the gameEx main menu it shows the emulator/Rom list for NES, when I click on a NES Rom the screen goes black and returns me to the gameEx menu, it seems to me that the emulator isn't properly configured but I did set them up properly, I think?, As im completely new to this what exactly does Working Path and Command Line mean and what's supposed to be there?
