When starting a new theme, what option should I choose for the theme version and what are the differences between them? I've completed a theme and chose version 4, I'll upload pics later.

I recently decided to dig out my ps3 60gb launch model(UK). Its on an old firmware 2.41 I think?, I've been told that updating it stops the ps3 backwards compatibility, im not too sure what to do, I cant really find anything on google to support this, anybody have any ideas? I know that the launch model had hardware emulation not software emulation, and I wouldn't think hardware emulation could be stopped. My friend said the stop on backwards compatibility was because of piracy/hacks.

The ability to setup command lines much easier, rather than have a default command line option, GameEx could possibly input a command line for you based on your setup, Im thinking of this because most of my command lines were different to the default

I know I should really be asking this in theme editor topic but I would think it would be abit pointless opening a new topic for this

Ok I've edited the theme and changed the image and image2 over, how do I define what is shown in the image box and where do I put the media so it shows up in GameEx I've tested the theme and all is good so far.

I just wanted to know if it would be safe lying my PC Tower horizontal, I know im not supposed to cover up air vents I know that, but will it affect performance etc... I've attached an image of what my PC kinda looks like. (got it off Google images)

All sorted now, tried both methods and both work fine. ill stick with NoMousy at present, thanks for the input guys.

With me having no experience within the theme editor, how long do you think it would take to make the changes mentioned above.

Ive been searching on the setup wizard but cant seem to find anything unless i'm overlooking it?

Im starting to dig a little deeper with my setup and now want to put video previews for each emulator. How do I do this? Also this question is aimed at draco1962, Im currently using your brokeh theme and your icon pack as you already know, I just wanted to know how can i put the emulator icon for each system into the bottom right hand box of your theme rather than the top right hand box of the theme? As I want to put the video preview in the top right box and the emulator icon in the bottom right. I already have all video previews and have installed shark007 codecs as mentioned in a previous post/thread by yourself.

I have AutoHotKey_L installed already on my system, would that be the correct version.

I never really thought about using something like that, I'll take a look. When I personally look around for decent ambience to go with my GameEx setup I always look for 8bit or 16bit music and j-rpg music, I would never give the info that you gave above a second glance.

I read about NoMousy in the forums but couldn't find where I read about it. I'll give it a shot and let you know how I get on, I know that to hide the mouse cursor in nestopia you use NoMousy, but I don't use it because my mouse cursor isn't present when using nestopia within GameEx.

@Draco1962, Im using your Brokeh Theme as I think it's great and it suits what I want. Im also using your icon pack.

Can't stand Call Of Duty games, but thanks for the reply, Im looking for something dramatic, soft and dark to go with my setup.

Can anyone recommend any decent ambience music? Im currently using Silent hill 2's Heavens Night and Final Fantasy VII World Map.

Finally got NullDC fully working within GameEX (Yay). How do you disable mouse for NullDC within GameEx or at least be able to hide the mouse cursor ?

Just checked this theme out, great theme krakerman, but it doesn't quite fit right on my t.v., everything seems to be really small(font characters etc..) Man, I wish I had a ounce of the skill to make something like this, but unfortunately I don't .
