  1. I went from 3 versions of the wheels. Version one was a small table shot shaped like a trapezoid that was cropped and transparent, they turned out looking like an IPhone in perspective with some layer styles, some looked cool but I could not get many to look right so I scrapped the idea. Second version was a button shaped like a dog-tag or license plate with text for the table - I had too much of a time with choosing fonts and backgrounds based on the themes of the tables, so I scrapped that. Third version is just transparent text with the same font and some layer styles - I just wanted to keep it simple so I stuck with this. I may try and do the mini table again, some looked kind of cool. A quick question, what is the standard size for a wheel image? In case I try to do some more mini tables I can make a template at the approximate size of the wheel at a resolution in PinballX of 1280x720. As you can tell I am into tables based in the late 60sm 70s into the the late 80s. I do not really like the tables of the late 80s and on as they are too complicated. If i want complicated I will play a PC RPG or Strategy game.
  2. I have to redo everything over and over to make sure each video or wheel image is just right, so taking it easy is a luxury I have a hard time with my perfectionism. I have scrapped many projects because I would take a year to do what some could do in a month. The thing about my perfectionism is that I am basically OK with Photoshop and not great with it, so getting something perfect or that I like is almost impossible already, but I try anyway and fail most of the time. Again, you guys have been really helpful and I am glad I donated to you guys. I already had 2 keys for an old GameEx from back in about 2012 but they did not work with the latest version.
  3. I am a perfectionist to an irritating degree, if you only knew how much time I put into doing videos and snaps over and over to get them perfect (as as close as possible usually), so almost perfect to me is a 9.7 out of 10, if that helps.
  4. OK, I got that fixed but now when I go back to the frontend, my wheel images lose their .png transparency. Its a minor thing and I am sure it will be fixed in another update or two. I want to thank you guys for your help with this program, it turns out to be almost perfect for what I want to do.
  5. Just found that out, thank you. 2 Red Dwarf fans in one day, I watched a guys video who has use the channel name of name Arthur J Rimmer. One more question to save a new thread from being created. When I exit future pinball I seem to exit automatically out of PinballX as well and not going back to the frontend. Is there a setting I need to check or something?
  6. Thank you for your reply. I got the screenshots to come up and now I am working on videos. One more question, can I use mp4 files or am I limited to AVI? I would like to use mp4 because I have lots of codecs to choose from when I lower the file size compared to AVI. Thank you again for your reply.
  7. I am using PinballX 3.2.0 and Future Pinball 1.9.1 I am new to PinballX and I am unaware of why I cannot just have a screenshot to look at in the program to pick a table from, so i decided to make some videos and see if that can be placed somehow for a preview of the tables. So now I have a video and I have no Idea where to put it so I can see the table preview in PinballX. So where do I place the video? Also can I just add a snap path instead of the video to save resources? Thank you.
  8. This has been solved. I was using a 3 year old installer from my storage drive, while it did update it was not enough to help. I downloaded the latest installer from this site and the issue was resolved. I still got 55% for a long time on verify, but turning of verify roms fixed that as well. If anyone has an older installer from 2-3 years ago it would be best to download the current version. There is probably no one who has had a 3 year old installer lying around on some drive or DVD but if so you know what to do. I hope others will have more luck with GameEX than myself. It's a great frontend, It just take a lot more time too hook up properly.
  9. Yes that was an update issue, i downloaded a current version of GameEX and game lists worked. the images of only the hardware arcade machines was the issue, I asked recently. I have uninstalled GameEx and went back to EmuLoader. Could be I'm just too dumb or GameEx does not like me. I have boatloads of codecs already - K-lite, gordien knot codec pack, Divx pro is giving me problems but the codec is still there, latest XVID, latest FFD show 64 bit, avi synth Tscc, ac3 filter. The problem is the shark thing screwed up my snaps all together. I never trust a middle eastern or east European web sites. I like the people fine enough but there is some shady things going on in there webpages. [or I'm just paranoid] . Load the shark codecs GameEX is messed up.
  10. Well I give up. It's more trouble than it's worth.
  11. Hey, I have a very strange problem with MAME displays. It all happened when I was dumb enough to download shark codecs. I knew better but figured Norton would catch it, but anyway its seems that the only snaps that are being displayed are machine systems such as 15IE-00-013. I will include the Log file, log.txt
  12. Hey, I tried to install MAME 0.179, and in the game menu I get asked to update game lists or something. So I do pick this and every time I get to 25%, and that's it, after 6 hours of being patient. I know how to set-up MAME so this is not on my end. I am in the process of setting up my MAME folder again (delete all files reinstall MAME move massive rom folders) so I could not try to fix this until all files have been moved. But an Idea of what this is would be nice to hear. MAME 0.179 64 bit binary - Windows 7 64 bit I just thought this may be the version of MAME that's the problem. Moving around roms is a pain, but I think I will try 0.177.
  13. Thank you, it works. If someone has the patience this could probably be the best way to launch PlayStation 2 games. I have seen the other launchers and they look a lot more complicated than a simple batch file. I can remove the vertical stripes in some of the games (I think Namco games and MVP 2005) by turning off FSAA and loweing internal resolution and whatever. Then the games that can use the FSAA, higher internal resolution and anisotropic filtering will use another copied portable Pcsx2. This way you are guaranteed to have every single option in Pcsx2 to be available, and then can be pointed to the ISO wanted. If all else fails, use a batch file. Thank you for your help EvilForces-.
  14. I am new here and am just setting up my emulators. I would like to ask if there is a way to use batch files as roms. so I would have PlayStation 2 games configured to run each games separately. For example: Guilty Gear XX (USA).bat taskkill /f /IM GameCtrl.exe Sleep 2 start "" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Digital Transforms\Total Game Control\GameCtrl.exe" Playstation2 Sleep 2 X: CD "\Consoles\Emulator Setups\Playstation 2\Version 1\pcsx2-1.4.0-binaries" "pcsx2.exe" "X:\Consoles\Gamelaunchers\Playstation 2 Games\Playstaion 2 games\Fighters\Guilty Gear X2 (USA)\Guilty Gear X2 (USA).iso" --fullscreen Not very advanced but does work flawlessly. So I would like to setup about 30 batch file in one folder and then instead of using normal emulation settings, I would have each game already customized. I have tried using a dummy emulator, but no luck. Maximus Arcade has a built in batch config for just launching custom bat files. If someone knows how to make this possible, please let me know. I do own 2 licenses for GameEx - If I did not I would not bug you guys. Thank You.
  15. I have 2 license keys and for some reason I have a download limit, keeping me from downloading  just 1 theme that exceeds my download limit.

Any idea how this makes any sense.

  16. Good idea, didn't think of that. thanks.
  17. Wish I would have asked this question earlier, but no sense in making another topic for 1 question. Anyway here goes - I want to give someone a donated copy of GameEX. I will have to use my Paypal account as he does not have Papaypal account, this will have to use my email for payment - But I want him to use his Email and his name to create an account. This sounds confusing to me as I type this. I know you can gift a copy of a game on Steam - Can I somehow Gift a Donated copy of GameEX to someone? Thank You.
  18. Hey, I wanted to thank the GameEX designers and all contibuted to this amazing Front End - In other words I love GameEX. Thank You.
  19. Thanks for the help guys. I downloaded the latest catver.ini and put it in my Mame folder already, I just needed relist the Roms. After that I got my catagories.
