No its random. It's the background video for GameEx Mame .267 and all the roms are for this version as far as I'm aware.

So I now currently running GameEx AE in Windows 10. I just recently did a complete install if Windows 10 and GameEx AE. Everything is running fine except every so many times when I pack iyt of game play in Mame, thenackground video playing does play and all get is just a black background. If I load another game and come back out sometimes the video clip in the background plays and sometime it doesnt log (1).txt

Ok so what else could be causing this issue other than GameEx itself? Windows is not listing another error in the event viewer.

Would this be causing my issues?

This is really the only thing that I see in the event viewer. I have uefi enabled bios.

It seems as if my motherboard does not support secure boot

Okay, I was able to disable Hello business for windows. Another issue i've been seeing is windows 11 trying to somehow activate secure boot yet my motherboard is too old and does not support secure boot

Ok I had a black screen issue on attract mode this morning. The only issue that came up at the same time was something about "windows hello for business? " I have no idea what that is.

here is another...i inserted coin in key 5 and the game loaded then quickly jumper out pf game play and back to the FE log.txt

LBasement...lol. no its in the finished part of my basement. The laundry is on the far side....side....behind another door on the other side of the house

Now that I've gotten i to the event viewer what it is you want me to do there? I've never seen this operation before.

yikes!!! mine is a new build from 2024!! ok so this evening i turned on gameex. I watched it go into attract mode and i walked away. after some time i came back and game ex had shut itself off. here is the log. log.txt

Sorry i cant say I have. On this particular computer the only things I have running are mame, GameEx and instantsheller. I have some utilities like winrar...stuff like that it's a dedicated Computer solely for mame. Im not sure i know where and at what you want me to look at. I will run the cab tomorrow and hopefully I will get another black out. I will post my log as soon as I get one

That's really awesome.Yeah you can see all that.. So I guess my question is now what do you mean? You can see everything that's going on. After random periods of time, the screen will just go black.While it's in attract mode and there's nothing you can do to get it out.Except for reboot the pc. I will run another test.But it seems to be intermittent. It ran all last week, no problem, and then yesterday it went black after a period of time.I thought it was less... i'm busy running around doing multiple different projects and i'm not really keeping track of time. What I am noticing is that after a period of time, it will just go black.

I didn't do anything. I started the PC and started gameex and s z at and watched it for An hour

i spoke too soon. after a 30 min run of gameex the attract mode went black and i could not get out. log.txt

Np. GameEx is a great frontend. I dont wanna see it end. Its worth every bit of effort we all put in. I appreciate your help and patience with us end-users.

Apparently it works with hyperspin and some other FEs. I will have to do more digging as to what is requited for the servostik.

Ok so I've been running GameEx AE back and forth for a week or so and I'm not having the going to bla C k happening again. I am still having issues with tying to run games in attract mode. It will still kick me out of game play after the attract mode timer ends. It will then move on to another game. Any way this can be changed?
