  1. I don't think anybody can argue that this product and the service you provide to this community isn't worth the money.
  2. Congratulations!
  3. I copied those two files, ran the script and then entered game ex and there is nothing in the favorites list. Maybe I should just uninstall, copy over the old system and then update.
  4. I had issues like that when I used a ps/2 to USB adapter. I know some new pc's don't have ps/2 ports, but I don't know if this applies to you.
  5. Would I be better off copying over my old Game Ex folder to my new system and doing a update?
  6. I'm not seeing it, my old PC has version 7.51. Is the database new since then?
  7. Thanks Tom, What else is stored in that database?
  8. Wow, I had no idea this was such a heated subject. I understand the concern, but couldn't time played be used in the same way? Somebody could be a jerk and charge per minute. How then is that statistic any different then a coin counter?
  9. All, I have migrated my system to a new pc as a fresh install and wanted to copy over my favorites list. I found the history .dat and related files by not the favorites. Does anybody know where to find them and if I can just copy them over.
  10. Headkaze, you make a good point. I never thought of it that way.
  11. Thats what I did. I looked into the plugin system to see if I could just implement this as a Game Ex plug-in. But, unfortunately my C# skill aren't "sharp" enough to figure it out right away. I look into it more.
  12. I think you're right, I probably missed that when going through the set-up. I know that I set the system to go back on escape by changing the custominput .ini file and turning custom input on in the settings. I'll have to take a closer look at my old system, unless something has changed with Game Ex that would cause this since my last update (~ 4 month ago).
  13. I have written a simple program that keeps track of how many times Player1 and Player2 hit the coin buttons on their cab. I thought it would be nice to see how much money I would have spent in an actual arcade. Would anybody be interested in something like this? If so let me know. I would like to offer something back to this great community. Note: I've only been programing C# and .net for a 2 months, so the codes probably a little rough but works as expected. G-Man
  14. All, I am in the process of migrating my Game Ex system to a laptop that is in my control panel. I installed Game Ex and set-up all the emulators and copied my custom controls .ini file. I had it set up to go back in the menus with the esc button (I don't remember is this was the default or not). The esc button works fine in the emulators, but when I use it to go back to higher levels in the menus it exits Game Ex with no errors. It never did this before on my old set-up. Any Ideas? Thanks, G-Man
  15. In-game music toggle and volume control. I would love to be able to change songs (simply next and prev tracks) and volume while playing. This already works if you use the MCE remote. I've tried mapping keys with autohotkey to the remote buttons, but it never worked.
  16. Did you have any luck with AutoHotKey?
  17. I know that I have posted this problem a little back but I didn't get any insight. So I'll try again. the next and prev track buttons on my remote do not work in Game Ex. the Navigation buttons and back and others all work. I should also note that the next and prev track buttons do work while in an emulator. Does anybody have an idea why this might be, or if there is a setting that I could have changed in the configuration file or the theme file. Game Ex does register the button press though. It refreshes the game snap when either of the two are pressed. Thanks
  18. You could always use a program like AutoHotKey that lets you remap keys to the MCE volume up command. Example if "p" was the key that you wanted to be volume up you could right a simple script below in AutoHotKey. p::{Volumn_Up} q::{Volumn_Down} But be aware if you do this p will be volumn up and not p, even in notepad! To fix this you could set game ex to run the script upon opening
  19. The Next and Prev tracks on the remote are no longer working. I don't know If changed some setting to do this. I've looked through the config and I didn't see anything that looked to be turning this off. When I press the button it just refreshes the game snap while in the menus. Does anybody have any suggestions?
  20. I changed the PrevTrack and NextTrack in the custoninput.ini and it works fine in the menus. Except for when in a game list and it jumps to j or l in the list. You stated that they "are not set to work when in an emulator" does this mean you have Game Ex configured for this or is it not possible to have them work in other emulators?
  21. Could this all possibly be an issue with changing from the default keys for track changing?
  22. It does not work in MAME. It should be noted that I changed the definitions for the track changing from a and s to j and l. Also note that the track changing buttons on the MCE remote works while in MAME and ZSNES.
  23. I was looking to increase the number of PC games that I access through Game Ex. I then realized that I couldn't hardly think of any games that could really be played with arcade controls and a trackball. Right now, I'm sporting Tiger Woods PGA and Golden Tee Golf. Does anybody have any recommendations on good PC games to play on an Arcade Cabinet?
  24. bump... as requested!
  25. Also, is there away to disable the alpha seeking while in a game list. I have the track changes buttons set to j and l to work with my Keywiz but I don't want to skip to j's in the game list when I switch tracks. Any suggestions?
