  1. Mine as well. It's been on my arcade unit since I found it. Can't wait to see the updated version.
  2. You all have to stop giving me stuff to read! Boy I miss Aladdin's Castle. Small, shadowy, dank hole in the mall that ate so much paper route money back then. For those in the U.S. (and headed to the northeast) you should definitely check out Funspot Arcade in Laconia, NH. I go at least 2-3 times a year.
  3. Oh I already wiped the system! I don't sell roms. That's their problem. Just leaving the emulators on. I'll PM you anyway.
  4. I have too many emulation stations in my house now. I have the NESputer, X-Arcade, softmodded XBox, *3* i7 laptops... it's time to start slimming down. My question - how do I "unregister" GameEx while leaving all the settings on the HDD? I want to keep my key but I also want to leave it fully functional so the next person can boot the system and have everything work exactly the way it does now. Is it a full uninstall while backing up directories? Is there an easier way?
  5. I grabbed a copy of this. When I finish reading Game of Thrones I'll make it the next book before moving on in that series. Thanks for the recommend Draco.
  6. Answer: Intellivision! In 1981 - 2 years before the Gameline modem - Intellivision released the Playcable modem. It only saw limited release and was pulled in 1983.
  7. Xi3 announces Valve investment for Piston gaming PC I hope this pans out. Yes there are Micro PCs out there already but this one is built with Steam games in mind which means she'll probably run almost anything. And only at a meager 40W power usage! Anyone else see this and think "Woo yay!"?
  8. I've been messing with this most of the morning and I have to say this theme is great. While it will not replace your Space Invaders theme on my cabinet it will be used for the NESputer in the living room with the 42" LCD TV. Thank you Draco. Fabulous theme.
  9. The logs above are from when I was getting errors. Before I started this thread I had reinstalled GameEx as an update(overwrite) and it didn't fix the issue. Since that didn't work and you recommended a re-download I ended up backing up my config and theme directories, uninstalling GameEx and doing a clean install. That seems do have done the trick. Most of my settings are still there. Just a little tweaking and I'll be back to normal. On a related note - but something I never noticed before because I guess it never worked for me - I am suddenly getting weather updates on my home screen. Must have been corrupt since day 1? Thanks for the help!
  10. I have 12.98 installed. Before this update everything worked fine whether it be MP4, FLV or AVI. I thought I just had to reboot the first time I installed but I have been really playing with this today and it is not working. Example: I load up my favorites and it plays the video for AD&D Tarmin which is in MP4 format. I move the list down one to APB and it plays that snap video which is AVI. After that NONE of the videos will play INCLUDING APB unless I reboot the entire PC. Exiting and re-entering GameEx does not work. It seems when I change extensions it stops working. Going from an AVI to AVI seems to be ok. The files play outside of GameEx at all times no matter when I try them - before and after lockout. I updated my Shark007 Codec pack to 3.9.3 after this started and it did nothing to help. Any theme I switch to does it as well. log.txt GameEx.ini
  11. Been looking forward to this!
  12. Just realized when previewing the snapshots on the Theme Page you can only click on the first preview. If you click on the second and third image you still only get the first. They are all linked to the image1 directory. Using the first theme as an example all snaps go to: http://www.gameex.com/themes/image1/GameEx%20Ultra.jpgI found you can manually change the link to "/image2/" and "/image3/" and see them. Just something I noticed a few minutes ago. Nothing earth shattering.
  13. Mine did this as well after updating to 12.98. I had to reboot my computer after update and then it ran fine. Just my $0.02 your mileage may vary.
  14. Just a quick note if someone has the same problem - after updating to 12.98 and GameEx restarted the video previews stopped working on my system. Just a quick reboot and it was all good again. Hopefully this will keep someone else from freaking out like I almost did. Awesome update Tom. Thank you for all the hard work you put into this Front End for us.
  15. I use a USB 7-port adapter with USB interfaces for SNES, NES, Intellivision, Atari - both joysticks and paddles - and ColecoVision. There are also USB adaptors for N64 and most sega controllers. You can also buy USB repro controllers. There's nothing I'm aware of that can't be used via USB on a cabinet. Retrozone adapters http://retrousb.com/ 2600-dapter, Intellivision, ColecoVision and Astrocsade adapters http://home.comcast.net/~tjhafner/2600-daptor.htm
  16. It was slow - very slow - but I got it within an hour.
  17. It works. After signing in my laptop to Netflix I ran GameEx and played some Cheers and Family Guy. The system loads and plays my video selections. I noticed it loads the entire Netflix library though - 10494 items. Is a search feature on the drawing board? GameEx did not disable my Ambiance file. It just played the video through it. This is definitely a feature I would use.
  18. I have it on my iPad 2 64GB. It works ok but some of the games lag like Blitz! and Minestorm actually seemed to crash out for a minute. Overall I'm happy but they got a few bugs to work out.
  19. That is fabulous! I've got to run off and get that now.
  20. Another nice one. With an ambiance file set to the album this would be great for a ston... err um... retro game station. Yeah that's what I meant.
  21. I've got the download on my HDD but I haven't had a chance to test it yet. Being in retail leaves very little personal time between now and Black Friday. Any initial impressions?
  22. Just another curious user wondering if this is on hold or if you've made more progress on it. I do love what we've seen so far and still looking forward to it!
  23. Oh now THAT would be awesome. There's some gems on the PSP!
