Confirmed, the issue seems resolved.

To answer a question posed - I don't do video editing of any kind on that machine, it is dedicated MAME.
-
Shark codecs, BTW if that wasn't said.

Yeah, nothing has changed - has worked fine since I got it many many many years ago (with one issue that I posted here and it was repaired in a patch) Something definitely changed with the last update, but Im as puzzled as everyone else. :/ I really liked putting videos on shuffle ... or playing them in sequence. It's not a vital feature for me by any means, but was nice. Im sure someone will find the culprit.

Thanks, Draco. Like cnells, I have not updated anything except the gameex auto update to the latest version a couple of weeks ago.

No change, same behavior.. logs attached. Thanks. GameEx.ini log.txt

Switched NoWaitVSync to False and same behavior.

Hm, I found don't wait for, which is set to T but dont see disable.

My taste in music or frame rate? Im a life-long XTC fan. ha. Wanted to play something short so I could get to the end of the video. Can try some more.

Posted files in other thread, but posting here as well. Again my apologies for not doing it sooner/to begin with. I do appreciate the time and effort it takes to track these down. log.txt GameEx.ini

Again my apologies. The symptoms are the same. Once it reaches the end frame, it freezes, and then it takes a good many "back buttons" to get to the previous screen. Hope this helps, and thanks. (Yes, I know it is windows XP, but I tried updating and my card wouldn't go to down to 288 resolution for my TV/arcade monitor, so I am forced to keep XP for a while) log.txt GameEx.ini

Again, my apologies, Draco.

My apologies, I have been working on the cab so wasn't able to get to the files. Will post tonight. I didn't post the files originally because I was hoping it was an added option for "pause between videos" that was added that just needed to be unchecked. I really do appreciate all the help you guys give. At work currently but will post tonight. Thank you!

Sounds good, Ill check that out.. wasnt sure if it contained anything for just video playback or not. It's really strange, it just hangs on the last frame of video. Never did that before. Will post the files here soon.

Have a weird issue with the latest version - I tend to use my cab a lot for videos, where i can play all, randomly, etc. Kind of a "jukebox" if you will. With the latest update, it gets to the end of the video and just freezes and will not automatically start the next. Just wondering if anybody else has run into it or not. Nothing else on the cab has changed. Since it isn't a game related issue, not sure what other documentation I can give, but if you have any ideas, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Ok, thanks. I would expect it to do it maybe once, but its everytime (and i have a lot of videos/directories) Thanks for the heads up.

Ive been having troubles since 12.45 as well, including the latest. When I go into my videos, it takes abotu a minute to build the folder list, like it is building it each time. Each menu item seems to take longer than before. Might be related, may not be. Just started in 12.45 tho.

Yeah tried that too. I think Im just stuck. There are far too many subtitle options in shark007 (vob, ffdshow and everything inbetween) and too many permutations. It has to be something in gameex tho since WMP plays without them. I just dont want to waste your time by saying "yep yep tried that" through all possible combinations. So, if I figure it out, I'll let you know, but I dont want to waste anybody's time. Ill just rip em to a file instead of ISO.
-
Tried several things: 1) Tried WMP. No subtitles present 2) tried switching subtitles from off to VOB sub in shark007, then disabling in the sub controls... they still show 3) tried switchint to ffdshow subs, and then turning each sub off... they still show. Ive been using gameex for close to 3 years now, and this particular issue has been going on that long. I think it is just going to have to be a permanent annoyance. I just can't turn the darn things off. Ive tried every combination of settings in shark007.

I only use gameex... I bought the standalone cyberlink codec since i couldnt get any others to work right inside. Havent tried media player.
-
Im pretty sure thats off. thats in shark007 too, right? They come on even when i make sure they are off in the dvd menu itself too. Just one of those little annoyances im trying to squash.
-
After taking some time to see if it is really annoying me (and it is) I decided to revisit my subtitle problem. First, I am using the Cyberlink codec for DVD playback. Shark007 codecs are installed for videos. Use ffdshow is off. Heres the problem: I THOUGHT i even reauthored the DVD turning all subtitiles off, but they are there again. Every DVD I play via ISO has subtitiles on. I try to use the pagedown key to switch between them and turn them off, but it does nothing. I have them turned off in the shark007 config for ffdshow (which i know doesnt mean anything since they are turned off anyway) The only recourse I have is to rip the DVD as a video file and play it that way. Is there something - anything - that I am missing. I know I'll probably have to post my my configs again, but honestly I have tried every combination of options and i dont know what the problem is. Im starting to think re-encoding as a file instead of ISO is just a necessary evil. Any initial thoughts? Ill post my configs tonight or tomorrow too... but maybe theres something simple im missing?

OK, i found the change view by scrolling to the right. Boy I hate that view. Don't know how it flipped over to that. But, I guess, this is resolved. Thanks!
-
I upgraded to the latest version released yesterday or the day before, and now I'm stuck in views that resemble the following: There is no "change view" and I really really hate this view. So I was wondering: a) how did I get into it in the first place How do I get rid of it LOL. Thanks. Troy

Thanks for the reply. Nope, cant get to gameex.com at all on any computers. Restarted my router and everything. The DNS servers are through my ISP - I never look at them. I bet itll resolve itself in a few days by itself then. Thanks. Troy
