im not using mame32, never have... icons showed before though

yep tried rebuilding the game list... still no good. tried different themes too.

hi! I used to have all the cool mame icons show next to each game. now when i go in there arent any icons?? the path hasnt changed and i have refreshed them in gameex by deleting them out of the \MEDIA folder. but they still dont show! they do appear when i have selected a game and it goes into the sub-menu but nowhere else however!! is this a on/off feature that i missed or something?

i didnt run gameex remotley or any portion of gameex remotley i simply removed the virus remotley and thats all the contact my machine has had with it. My master computers stopped it from reaching themselves quite effectivly. I dont doubt that its been contracted from somewhere else online, but i thought it wise to let Tom know. And it seems he is doing a scan anyway. anyway no harm no foul.

(GOOD ON YA TOM!!!!!!) For the record, i have xbox360 connected to the same network as the cab and everything else i own. not a damn thing wrong with it! if i wanna try mame on my tv in the lounge, ill just boot up my xbox1 and play it on that thing. (which also seems to work fine as a media center on its own) so yeah hooroo reminator and have fun in primary school buddy! watch out for grade 3 maths, its a dooozy

well im using pc-cillin and that got rid of it after an update. As for downloading. the only thing that computer downloads is gameex. which is why i posted. My other computers are all safe and have no trace of anything on there. so i assumed that the cab managed to get it itself from somewhere. so yeah interesting stuff. just goes to show that even "idle" computers are easily infected. interesting that it hit gameex straight up though.

hey guys, thought id let you know my cab got a virus yesterday. My fault as its the only machine on my network that hasnt got a virus scanner (want no memory resident stuff) however as it has a direct net connection it picked up the pe_tenga.a malware. Interesting thing is that it only infected the gameex files!!!!! so yeah, managed to get rid of it easily over the lan with my other machine but still goes to show that its easily picked up.

ive tried heaps of stuff like command line thing etc but no luck whatsoever, all i can think of now is running some sort of bat file before launching the emulator to drop the volume down 50% or something

i think a cool feature to support that online multiplayer mame. Kaillera i think its called. That would rock hard!

you know what would look great? having a screen that tells you what the changelog is, either before the upgrade or after. just a thought.

Hi Tom. Im getting a "gameex.exe has encountered an error" window when i go to autoupdate, i think it is the theme i am using (alpha blue) but unsure at the moment, i have changed to a different theme and will tell you if it happens next update (its happened last 2 updates). it doesnt seem to affect the update, it still downloads the program and installs it. so yeah, thought i'd let you know. hey guys, im having a wierd problem with the favorites list, i choose a game and it trys to launch a completely seperate game!!! and last night i tried to launch pitfall (a2600) and instead it tried to launch the psx emulator and launch pitfall from there! however other times it works perfectly fine. it seems my last run game is a little strange too, it has a screenshot of some 3d fighting game but no entry in the list ie. it is a blank list.

how awesome is that! i ask the question when im at work, by the time i get home theres a new version with the feature built in

hi guys, Is there an option to restart the computer in the gameex shutdown screen?? is it also possible to change the sorting of the list so i can have shutdown on the top?? i am more more interested in restarting however. cheers Burch

could always put the rom name in the excluded list in the config.... thats what i did with killer instinct to show.

nope i tried the service menu and its no good. If anyone knows of even a program i can run in the background to normalize all audio output that would work!

sounds like the screen cant handle the resolution your PC is putting out.

um i think you edit the customcontrol.ini file (or something like that, im at work at the moment so cant check) and there is a list of each function and the key that controls it, from memory they are identified by a number and you have to cross-reference from another list to find the number for the key you want. sorry for vagueness but as i said, working sux.

that looks fully sick!!!!!!!! im keen to make a theme myself one day, im just too damn busy at the moment!
