    Steam apps

Can someone test out Steam with GameEx? I just tried it and am getting wierd things happening . I ran Crysis within GameEx thru steam and the game runs but when I hit the ESC to skip all the game intro crap it crashes back to GameEx in a different view but you can't do anything. All keys are blocked but Crysis is still running as well . I tried CTRL+ALT+DEL but the window keeps going away and I'm stuck with a different view of GameEx and not the default theme I was using. very strange.
  4. Yes. What problems are you having with it? I would recommend using custom menus with this theme also disable the toolbar menu as well as this theme doesn't use that feature at all.
  5. now that the competetion has been extended ... back to work again on some more systems. snaps to follow soon
  6. Just when I thought I was done ... Damn now you just given AcidBrain about 300 more consoles that he will want me to add to Retro Arcade.
  7. You can run these in GameEx just like you would batch files. I created a shortcut to all my GOG.com games or any other PC game and put them in a seperate folder. Then setup GameEx (Brief example run down): Working Path: c:\my shortcuts ROM Path: c:\my shortcuts\ ROM Filter: *.* or you could use *.lnk Command Line: ""[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"" Map Keys=NO Show Desktop=YES Thats essentially it. Hope that helps
  8. I personally stay away from FLV or AVI's and only use MP4's for videos. Try those and see what happens. Another thing is make sure your Direct X files are up to date as well if they aren't already.
  9. Another thing to try is disable each plugin 1 by 1 and see if that changes anything
  10. I noticed you have GameExtender ON hmmmm try turning that OFF and see what happens
  11. when you un-installed did you re-boot and then tried installing k-lite by chance? Another thing to try is setting GameEx to run as Administrator if your using Win 7. Do you have the latest drivers for your video card installed?
  12. Cleaned up the Visual Pinball theme (Backglass Box) for the next update!
  13. I for one have had issues using Shark007 codecs and switched over to K-lite Codec Mega and it runs much smoother without any crashes. I am using Win 7 x64 system so you might wanna try uninstalling Sharks and giving K-lite a try and see if that fixes it.
  14. Ok guys you can now download the theme!! Special thanks shoutout goes to Adultery for all the help last night getting this thing uploaded and available for you all. Enjoy!!
  15. [NEWS] >>> Release date has been set to Mother's Day!!! <<< The time has come and I have completed Retro Arcade HD and am ready to release this beast upon you all It's been alot of work but it has been alot of fun as well and hope that it will look just as good on your system as it does mine.
  16. Thanks Tom!
  17. Since I did a PopCap Games I think there needs to be a Reflexive Arcade theme as well.
  18. Hmmm let me think about that eh
  19. Added in Ultra 64 for those who still use it
  20. The ability to use more than one background image for emulator groups. So for example emulator 1 has a background and emulator 2 has a background but if we group emulator 1 and emulator 2 and you select a game in the list and it is associated with emulator 2 it needs to display the background for emulator 2 and not emulator 1 for the entire group. Hope that makes sense. Thanks Tom!
