  2. Anyone know if it is possible for both joysticks to work with 2 player mame games like Pacman. I change the settings in the game (Tab key) for the second player to use the second joystick. It configures fine there but in the game it still only works with joystick 1. Mame version .102 Gameex (of course) ultrastik 360 joysticks Thanx
  3. No dice on the plates didnt no I needed them Guess I will just have to wait and see....
  4. I ordered a set yesterday Keep me posted on that plugin and thanks for your help.
  5. Is it easy to switch from 4 way to 8 way?
  6. Holy Cow, now thats what I call input....About the only thing that scares me is that usb detection problem and of course the fact that Gameex might have issues. Thanks alot for all the info it definatly helps with my decision.
  7. I dont see Ultra's listed at happcontrols.com. Which one is it? Thanks.
  8. The title pretty much says it all. Thinking about upgrading my cab(Have Xarcade controls now) The Joysticks are pretty lose and tend to stick in some directions(To much Robotron ) Any advice on new ones? Thanks
  9. Here is my second cab, Its not quite done yet. Needs some tweaking here and there. It not running Gamex yet, but will be soon. Need to send some more cash for a second license Anyway Future plans call for having the seat redone and some better trimwork installed. Toying with the idea of building a Racer X twin for some serious head to head
  10. Hey all, Here are a few shots of the cab I helped build for a buddy of mine. He found the Case in the garbage! The best we can tell it was a display case for something but we cant figure out what. Maybe someone here will know. Any way it converted nicely to a very unique cab. My buddys name is Doug if you didnt figure that one out. Future plans call for some vinyl decal work to the X-arcade controller.

    How Long?

If I remeber correctly I recieved mine the next day.
  12. You may be dealing with a graphics driver bug. I know you said you have it fixed now with the on board video but your Geforce 4 may actually be a better choice. DOnt know what your on board video is. Anyway in the faq it mentions a problem with Nvidia drivers and GameEx. This was taken directly from the Faq" Q: I have a good system, but GameEx runs terribly slow or freezes up (I have an NVidia video card)? A: NVidia unified drivers newer than 66.93 and older than 81.85 seem to have serious bugs with DirectX 2D support. Get the latest NVidia drivers or alternatively you can get 66.93 drivers here. 66.93 was released November 2004. If you have an older card like a Geforce 2 or 3 you may still need the older driver. This may not be a issue anymore but I had the exact same problem with my ti4200 I ended up switching video cards before I saw the Faq so I dont know if drivers would have fixed it or not.
  13. well thats not good! but I knew that already......
  14. Any one know if there is a working version of Star Wars trilogy available for any kind of emulator. Dont want any specific links of course, dont want to break any rules here. Just a simple yes it works and possibly what Emu. Thanks.
  15. I noticed that going back to Gameex after playing a mame game takes alot longer than it used to, but that is the only slowdown for me. I think it started about 2 versions ago.
  16. I cant figure out how to configure the controls. Tab doesnt work like in mame. Any input? Thanks
  17. The games work fine when playing them through mame only?
  18. Where are you located? US? Maybe I can help
  19. I made a theme with the first version of the theme maker, but the latest version of gameex will not load with it running. I hadn't updated gameex for about a month or so. Any ideas what changed in the newer releases? For now I just went back to the version I was running but I would like to get the current version, but I spent alot of time making my theme and dont want to just scrap it Thanks
  20. What is the most compatible version of MAME, I have the complete set of roms but alot of them do not run. They just kick back to GameEx.
  21. Introducing...Arcadia, yea I know bad name. Anyway this is my first attempt at a arcade cabinet. Almost everything is handbuilt. The controls are a modified X-arcade. Thought it would be a simple mod ended up taking me well over 10 hours to complete. The controls not the arcade. The total build time for the arcade was about 2 months but I had it up and running in about 1 week, it just wasnt pretty yet. All the vinyl is done by myself and my trusty partner(Brother ). We went for a Robotron design without replicating it exactly. Robotron is by far the most played game on it and of course my childhood favorite! Also now my 10yr old daughters favorite! Taught her to play a little over 3 months ago and darn her she's got my high score beat by 10.000pts! 330,000 and climbing. Anyway the cabinet was alot of fun to build and works flawlessly with GAMEEX! Thanks Tom for such a great product and the best support I have ever encountered! And thanks to all who pitched in to help on the build!
  22. I second that! Tom could you have that done by the weekend? Ha-ha Just kidding.......
  23. You mentioned in your first post that your actual intentions were to get a mame cab for yourself correct? If that truly is your future plans you wont be wasting the $19.00 that Tom requests. If it doesnt work out for your jukebox then that is all the more incentive to build the mame box since you spent the cash already. The nag screen is longer than the usual nag screens, but I know for a fact that in the past I have used software for long periods of time if not indefinately because the nag screen, well baseically, wasnt to bad so I just lived with it. I see your point its a catch 22 situation, Tom may lose some potential customers because of it but he probably gets paid more for his time with the way he has it setup. Good luck with your jukebox and hope to see your Mame cab here soon!
  24. I hate when real world stuff gets in the way of fun! Thanks for such great support, you da man!
  25. You must have the config looking at the wrong place. Since the games work if you only run mame32. Double check the config. Hope that helps.
