hi tom i just wanted to let you know of some strange behavior that game has been giving in regards to simpsons bowling it seems that if i launch it through game ex it starts going wacky making it very hard to select a player or even play looks like it may be a framerate thing? ie..too fast but if i launch it from mame it plays fine.... not quite sure what would cause this any ideas?? thanks Jason

hi guys i have a mame cab that im proud of also i spent alot of time and money in it however due to space and time constraints had to purchase a pre fabricatied cabinet i would love to share photos of my cab with you guys but im not sure if my cab qualifies to be posted here duer to the fact that the cab is prefabed?? i just dont want anyone to flame my post! lol tell me what you guys think? thanks! hi tom, ive been sitting here thinking about some features that might make the karaoke for registered users of game ex a little more fun! being a karaoke host myself and having years of ecperiance in the business i have a few ideas i think might work for game ex.......1) how about maybe a pitch or key change feature in the karaoke module so that singers can change the pitch of the song to better suit their vocal range ive found that being able to change the pitch or key of a song will get most people that like to sing karaoke to sing almost anything at least once! and 2) and chance at a software based type of reverb effect added to the karaoke feature ive noticed most people will be using the front end right out of mame cabs and this would give singers a better sounding mic when singing seeing as probably most will have microphones running right out of the sound cards on thier pcs ive noticed a very muddy sounding mic if just being run straight from a pc sound card and not many people would want to purchasr any type of sound board to add to thier equipment to get these effects just thought these might ehance game ex making it more fun and awesome than it already is! thanks for looking into the possibilty of maybe adding the features or just reviewing them for feature thought! thanks tom and keep up the good work!!! thats strange i cant select the next page setting for page 2 under basic mame settings it doesnt allow me too its grayed out???

For registered users theres now an option under Basic MAME settings, to have GameEx dynamically create and use Bezel artwork for vertical games running on a horizontal display. Click the help link in the config app for more info hi tom ive looked and looked under the config menu and yes my version of game ex is registered but o cant seem to find this feature and would love to use it could yourslef or anyone please point me in the right direction of findsing it? thanks Jason

hi tom ive been banging my head for a few days and what it looks like the problem is something to do with cliff hanger and the way it relates to game ex it doesnt seem like after booting game ex and playing cill hanger that it is dumping the cliff hanger frame file for one reason or another ive tried all my other daphne games ie.. dragons lair, goal to go, dragons lair 2 time warp, space ace etc.. they all work through game ex no problems just as long as i dont play cliff hanger through game ex everything is fine but once i launch cliff hanger every time i select another game through the front end it will boot the game (cliff hanger) over the top of the other game for some reason as if both games were being played at the same time??? kinda strange any insight on this?? ive checked all my framefile arguments and dont see anything strange from the config menu and all looks good any help wolud be great!!! thanks again!! hi tom im not sure if its me or the front end and also dont know how many people are actually using the front end to boot DAPHNE laser disc games but it seems everytime after i have booted a game using the front end like lets say i boot cliff hanger for example and i finish playing cliff hanger and i go to boot dragons lair it says its booting dragons lair but i get cliff hanger running but no dragons lair i know daphne remembers the last config booted could this be causing my plight in game ex?? or is there a way for me to make sure my argument in the config settings of game ex points to just the game i want to play and not one running prior to that?? thanks for your help and as always keep up the good work!!! the jester

hi first off i want to thank tom for an awesome fe i stumble upon this by accident for 4 days now ive been trying to configure JNES and it shows my game list but everytime i ,aunch a game the screen goes black and boots back to the front end im puzzled all my other emus work fine some help with this one would be great thanks in advance the jester
