  1. A few days ago I've tried O&O defragmentation and this software ROCKS! My loading times are increased big time and it's therefore highly recommended; it can defrag in different ways, it totally 'rebuilds' your HD on name, on modified files, in stealth mode etc. and is extremely fast, (except when it has to move large files) and only a small minimum of HD space is required (as big as the biggest file on the drive). It has a nice gui where you can see what it is doing with your HD. You can download a 30 day trial to test it yourselves.. so do it Da link: http://www.oo-software.com/en/products/oodefrag/
  2. a little handy: an option to create a new folder in the filebrowser when you're assigning an artwork path.
  3. Those neons, can they change colors? Would be cool in jukebox mode
  4. Now this cab is pimped! I love the neons on the sidepanels..
  5. Indeed, this sounds great; this would be very neat for my GBA collie.. but I think it decreases the performance of GameEx dramaticly when browsing boxarts..

    PSX

Ah yes, now I understand the problem; GameEx won't start at all A "disable check RomPath' option would be a solution indeed, but it's not implemented yet I guess, so it's still impossible to turn it off.. maybe you can ask this in the 'requests' forum above.. Another HD would be ofcourse the best solution, since they are very cheap these days and much more reliable than DVD's..

    PSX

If there's no disk ready in the drive, GameEx wouldn't find and display ISO/Roms available in the list, so you can't start it, so I find it strange that it gives you an error (and that you *can* start the emu)?
  8. Nice!
  9. Well, this *could* screw up other programs that need WMP too, like media support for internet explorer etc. so for an arcade-envirment only you 'could' try, a backup first is not a luxe .. but for a real jukebox feeling I mostly use SKJukebox
  10. I've installed first WMP9 then I've deleted WMPlayer.exe in the Windows/DLLCache & the programfiles folder. Then I've installed Media Player Classic and renamed it as Wmplayer.exe and moved it in the WMP folder and it's works fine like WMP9 would work.. no more WMP9 for me as it seems to force updating itselves to version 10 somehow after a while
  11. *don't* forget to add visual pinball (or future pinball)
  12. I see that I'm not the only one ending up with 25 VPAUTO's in the traybar
  13. I believe you can change the aspect already by pressing 'enter'?
  14. I've an idea/request to keep the fruittables nicely in order; If you set 'Romsinfolders' to True, GameEx doesn't seem to look for extensions anymore at the moment.. An option so GameEx will look for roms with an extension (stated in the config) in their own folder would be nice. (Ex. if you wanna play Hot Spots WDX it has to look for the file in the "..Roms/Hots Spots WDX/Hot Spots WDX.gam" file) Some bellfruit artfiles have the same name so this will prevent that you'll mix up (and overwrite) tablefiles if you have to put them in one big folder
  15. Now who's da man?? Great work!
  16. Hi guys, I've created a 'bubble bobble' theme, because it is my first try in creating them I've only changed some basic things so far.. 800x600 Click here 1024x768 Click here UPDATED: My winRAR didn't add all files to the archives, so I re-zipped it and now they are complete
  17. Tom, can't you grab the mng-recording code of a mame-source and implement/enhance it in a feature release of GameEx, so it can take movies of other systems too? Would be very cool
  18. Well, not exactly, I didn't translate the 7 aspect options, since I was too stoned to find a decent Dutch word for it
  19. Here's the almighty Dutch language .. Dutch.zip
  20. Is it possible to display the name of the song that is playing? (for a few seconds in a corner would be nice) I don't know if this option is already available
  21. Here's a small 'promo' video.. the tune is from sepultura CLICK wmvfile 2mb
  22. I think you forgot the brackets around the variable. like "[ROMPATH]" in stead of ROMPATH

    Small Snap problem

You can put the snaps in their own zipfile but in one zipfile for all I'm not sure..

    Small Snap problem

I know, but they only have snaps for the goodsets.. and not all the snapnames correspond with the romnames I have, (you always can resolve this with a tool called generic artwork renamer, very usefull!). The snappacks are also far from complete so I prefer to take my own snaps and have a complete set.. When I'm ready taking snaps of my C64 set I'll put the snappack online (the set I use is perfect! C64)
  25. Here's my newest request: would it be possible that GameEx can load all the gamelists already in the background when it starts up and not on the moment that you actually choose the list? For example, i've +- 35000 disks in my C64-list and when I choose this emulator in the menu for the first time, it takes a long time to load the list (but once it's loaded you don't have to wait anymore)
