Some one please help me. I am running windows XP Pro SP2 and when i run instant sheller the boot screen comes up and then a screen asking for my windows password appears before it will load into GameEx. Is there a way to get rid of or turn off the password so that when computer is turned on it will load straight into GameEx. Thanks in advance.

As the username says, RYGAR is it for me. Surprised that no one has mentioned Ghosts n Goblins or Galaga.They were and are pretty much the sought after ones. Hit Ctrl/Alt/Delete together,type windows.exe. This should take you back to your desktop.Delete instant sheller from your docs,program files and then restart your computer. This should work as i had the very same problem and it fixed it for me. I then reinstalled instant sheller again with no problems.

Can someone point me where to get snapshots for nes,snes,sega,etc. I read it on this forum before where i could attain them but now i cant find the message and link as to get them.Thanks.

jedah,thanks but i already had a uhs dat file unzipped in my mame directory in the high score folder,is this right. Like after i have played a game say 1942 and have entered my initials in the high scores and then play some other game and then return to 1942 again,my high scores will not be there again. Have i got it installed in the wrong folder. Thanks again.

Is there any way to keep your high scores so that when you have finished playing a game and then return later your previous highscore will still be there for you to beat.Is there any software or setting that will enable this. Thanks.

Just press right flipper and player 2 buttons together and it will exit you back to main menu(esc). You can also change the button configuration to something more comfortable to you by sliding mode switch to 2 and reprograming buttons to the key of your choice.(read your user manual) I also asked this question when i first started and someone gave me this reply(thanks to that prson,but i forgot who). Hopes this helps.

No,nothing else has changed. I dont know if it relates to the themes or not but it only happened after they were installed.

Firstly great themes, But i think that there might be a problem. After installing both themes in GameEx,when i run Mame games the games stop at letter V. Before installing i had full compliment A through Z. The only way to fix it was to run update game list again. This happened on 3 different computers all running GameEx with different builds.

I had the same problem,but after i had finished playing a game and then returned to main list of games it works perfectly every time,i am also using instant sheller. What i mean is that if you play a game and leave it in its own repeditive pictures,the screensaver would not work,but if you exited back to main menu after playing a game it should work fine.

Heres a few shots of my now completed cocktail cab. It is based on the Pacman cocktail plans that were completely modified to fit in the 21" monitor(thanks dad-without your skill and knowledge this would not have been possible) GameEx is totally the best frontend(Thanks Tom)

Jedah,i am in Australia and came accross the monitor by accident. You can get an arcade monitor by Wells-Gardner,i am sure that they ship worldwide(www.wells-gardner.net). Emph,with any luck it should only be a few weeks till i post the photos(with a few small mods it will be placed in my MK1 Cab) Thanks again for all the info,greatly appreciated.

What version of mame are you using. Mame32 or Source. Sounds great 5941 out of 5943. I am using mame32 version 101 and can only get 3261 in Game Ex. I have the complete set. Do you think if i upgraded to 103 it would show the same count as you. Thanks.

I have just come accross an arcade monitor(29") from a dealer that supports vga connection and will plug straight into mains power without any adjusting(basically just like an pc monitor only larger). The people say that it supports 640x480 resolution,is this alright to use with GameEx,or do you think i would be better off using a tv with info you gave me. My current video card is a Ati Radeon 128mb with Tv out. My cab is currently using a 21" monitor but i would like to increase the size. Please let me know what you would recommend, Thanks in advance.

Can anyone tell me the best settings to use in GameEx if i were to use a 68cm television as my monitor in my cab. Both my computer and tv do not have S-Video connections so i will be using TV out only. All help appreciated. Thankyou.

Can anyone tell me if there is a setting or software that enables all games to be played in a cocktail cab(flipping screen for player 2 turn)instead of always having to change the dipswitch settings. Thanks.
