  1. Sorry for the bother but i just couldnt cut it for my last question. Does anyone know of a vertical mame game that requires 3 buttons for play-just not the standard 2 for fire and bomb. I would love to hear from anyone who has ever played a vert game that has required 3 buttons for play. I am up to the control panels for my current cocktail cab and i need to make a decision if to install 2 or 3 buttons per player as i have installed the monitor for vertical use only. All help and answers is greatly appreciated. Thanks,
  2. Thanks again, just what i needed. More power to you for helping the less tech minded.
  3. Thanks, rotation worked a treat. I was trying to do this in windows xp itself-didnt think to look in gameex config. One problem though is now when gameex starts or you scroll through lists it is very slow.Game play is still excellent. Is there any other setting to enable more smooth flow ,like it was before i rotated the monitor 90 degrees. Thankyou very much for your help.
  4. Does anyone know if it is possible to change the picture display on a dell p1130 vga monitor from its current horizontal view to a vertical display,ie-rotate the picture 90 degrees. I have looked everywhere in the settings and on the display control panel but cant find anywhere where this could be done. Maybe you know how to do this. I want to mount this monitor in vertically in my new cocktail cab so that i have one for the horizontal games and the new one for vertical games. Please help me.
  5. I,m not that tech savvy but can follow instructions. When you say that you can use a standard arcade button-does that include using the microswitch as well.If one of the replers could list a few simple steps to achieve this like which wire goes on which and a couple of basic directions i would be most appreciative. Thanks in advance.
  6. Can someone tell me if for vertical mame games that 2 buttons is enough or do some require 3 buttons. This will help me in deciding my new control panel layout for my next cocktail cab project. Thanks.
  7. Yep,if you are in australia you can pick up a set from Arcade Gaming Australia. If not,go to Ebay and search under Arcade machines,Pinnys,etc-and you will come across a seller named Scorbstar. He is the seller for abovementioned and i have purchased numerous items from him with no problems. Hope this helps,
  8. Just downloaded and installed version 6.10.Enabled theme picker in gameex directory, but when running gameex it dosnt show in the lists.Maybe a problem-i am not sure. Maybe someone else is having this problem, let us know. Thanks again.
  9. Thanks,i have tried a few different settings within mame itself but to no advantage.Guess i will just put up with it.Ta
  10. Nope,none that i am aware of.
  11. This is a digital arcade monitor which handles all resolutions. It plugs directly into my VGA port on the computer and displays resolutions up to 38.0KHZ,WHICH DOSNT EXPLAIN WHY IT IS DOING IT.(IN SHORT THE DISPLAY NOW ACTS LIKE AN ORIGINAL ARCADE MONITOR)replicating the original picture without having any special sort of video card. Currently it is set at 800*600 in arcade mode within GameEx. Hopefully this extra info will help out. Thanks again.
  12. Can someone advise me as to what this means(OUT OF SIGNAL). It appears at certain times during the screensaver running or if i choose certain games to play,eg-Tekken3 etc. When it appears no picture is displayed at all. I have an Wells Gardner 27" monitor installed, before that i was just using a computer monitor and it never happened with it.Is there a setting or something to relieve this problem. Thanks.
  13. Headkaze, thanks for that-it worked like a charm. You dont happen to have a configuration for zsnes and genesis by any chance that you could post also. Thanks heaps.
  14. Yes,it works fine outside of GameEx.Only when i try to run games from inside GameEx do these problems occur.
  15. Yep,i have tryed everything possible and it has finally given me the SH**TS. I must have spent the last couple of days trying to set up Project64,Zsnes,Genises,all to no avail. Not being a computer or tech head i just dont know so i will stick with mame as i have it working perfectly and wont waste any more of my (holiday time)or people here in this forum. Thanks for trying to help the Very Uneducated.
  16. Yep,turned it off now it goes back to desktop(command prompt does not show)then straight back to GameEx,play this game appears again. Any more ideas. Thanks.
  17. I go to the Snes emulater in GameEx,pick a game from the list and it exits out to desktop with a command prompt box, C:\ProgramFiles\Zsnesw142>Pause Press any key to continue. Well i hit any key and then it goes back into GameEx list of games without ever seeing that game or able to play it. What am i doing wrong. Please help me,your help is greatly appreciated.
  18. Can someone tell me the best configuration to use in GameEx for Project64. I am using a Lcd screen with a Radeon9200 128mb graphics card. Each time i pick a game from the list it shows the screen then goes to desktop and says problem with graphics card or similar. When you esc out of GameeX and go to desktop to do something else the last game that i tryed to play, its music will still be playing even though GameEx is shut off. What am i doing wrong?.
  19. Look just above the forum where it says Topic Title and go to (User Configs and Databases Uploads)there you will find a heap of n64 and other emulater databases.
