  1. With luck I won't ever go over 2 posts Now.. anyone have a clue what I am doing wrong here?? ^
  2. Triple? I only saw a double post.. and I 'closed' that post as best I know how. Sorry for the double clicking.
  3. Maybe you folks can tell me where I have made a mistake in my MAME v123 Compile attempt: Directory Structure: MinGW in C:\MinGW MAME Source in Z:\MAME Diff/Hi Patch in C:\MinGW\Patches GameEX (reg'd) in C:\Games\GameEX When I attempt to patch the first 0123u1.diff I get this report on each notice: Applying Diff Patch... can't find file to patch at input line 4 Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option? The text leading up to this was: -------------------------- |diff -Nru src-old/build/build.mak src/build/build.mak |--- src-old/build/build.mak 2008-01-27 12:19:32.000000000 -0800 |+++ src/build/build.mak 2008-02-12 23:40:12.000000000 -0800 -------------------------- File to patch: Skip this patch? [y] Skipping patch. 3 out of 3 hunks ignored can't find file to patch at input line 55 Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option? The text leading up to this was: -------------------------- (example taken from first few lines of Compile Output notes) Where have I gone wrong? Thanks folks.
  4. -moved to new thread for specific question-

How do you mean 'update the rom set'?
  7. Hmmm.. never even heard of that item. I'll go check it out now.
  8. No they don't. It's as if Daphne lets me make the mapping, but just refuses to release the 'default' keys as the only ones that will work. Its almost as if the Daphne program will play nice with the Player 1 Stick, but when it comes to the keys set to my GP-WizRX Controller, it gets all pissy and gives the device only the minimum needed keys/stick to play. Could it be moddy? And yes, I've spoken to a few folks on the Daphne Forums and the reply was rather direct.. 'Works fine here'
  9. I am using MAME v123 and have had no issues mapping Joysticks to each specific game as needed. Joy 1 is as GameEX sets it normally, just make a change in the MAME Inputs (for this game) and set the P1 Right Joystick by direct input. That's how I set it up just today.
  10. I have Daphne running very, very well via GameEX, but even though I have remapped the Daphne Config to my Control Panel buttons and options, it still won't take any inputs except: Joy 1 (4 directions), P1 Button #2 No Escape, no Credit Up, etc. The Daphne Config screens show on ALL laserdisc games that the keys have been mapped corectly, but when using GameEX the keys default to those above only. The Daphne Forums say there is nothing wrong... which is odd since I am watching the issue right now. Any clues??
  11. I seem to have figured it out now. Using joysticks for the controls, something I forgot to mention here ( ) I now have the buttons mapped as: Button 1: Select Button 2: Step Back Button 4: Page UP/DOWN Button 5: Volume Control Thanks for the info folks, that got it.
  12. HI all. I have been unable to find anything that really explains how to change a certain setting in GameEX. How does one change the Page UP / DOWN option to quickly slide from one section of the Game List to another in GameEX? I can change the MAME v123 UI Up / Down, but that only effects the UI for MAME itelf, not the Game List in GameEX. Thanks all.
