Check your rom filters in GameEx Config. You might also try clearing and doing a fresh update. Be sure Mame32 sees it and play it. If Mame32 doesnt see it, GameEx wont! Time

This is great to know since GameEx will swap vids in between game attract mode cycles!! I have no clue how to Bittorrent yet though. Haven't seen a good tutorial on it. Time

Tom and All, Just wanted to drop a quick thank you since we all spend alot of time on here debugging and asking for new features!!! GameEx 5.25 is running like a champ. The Galaxian theme has made this a perfect Mame frontend. It always had the guts, but the new skin has made it "Mame Perfect" for a classics afficionado like me who is running this in a cabinet. I spent the first week after downloading getting things the way I wanted them. now all I do is play, play, play cause the front end does the job for me and is very stable to boot!!! So thanks Tom, for creating the best and most customizable front end out there. Keep the new skins/themes coming so GameEx can be the perfect fit for classics, fighter game, sports, etc Mame users. I second this question. Was thinking of getting MadDog Mcree and some other laser games added to my GameEx install and wondered how to do it without having to load the cd everytime. Just dump the contents to a folder? Time

Set "Enable Custom Keyboard Controls" to "Yes" in Config: Input Settings Modify Custominput.ini in C:\Program Files\GameEx\CONFIG to whatever you like. Time

Yea. More 1 is default Mame. Not programmable. Mode 2,3,4 are all default Mame also, but changable. I use Mode 2 and remap esc and 3(credit) to more logical places... Everything else in Mode stays as is for Mame. Time

Mapping is key. It's very easy. Check your manual. I personally like using the bottom 2 buttons under the first set of 6 Player 1 buttons. Mapped one for escape (Esc) and one for credit (3). Did the trick quite nicely as those buttons are never used in gameplay. Time

Gonchal, Different themes handle this differently. Try the Galaxian Theme in the Configuration. This one puts a "Now Loading" screen up while you wait for GameEx to load. Time

Yeah, some general intuitive on screen controls like play, back/forward track, now playing on screen, etc... just so the control is more intuitive. Time GameEx Fan #1

With GameEx you barely need a keyboard and mouse. Except for reboots and to start other programs not running through gameex. Logitech is fine. I use a cheap japanese wireless keyboard that is fine too. Time

Spy, Not dumb questions. The Jukebox needs some usability work. I think Tom just threw it in as a secondary app to gamelaunching. Time

GameEx IS setup to load automatically on startup No special apps. Mame 32, GameEx, and Daphne only things on machine Mame32 loads on E USB drive, GameEx and Daphne load on C WinXP SP2 with all latest updates Daphne goes black screen when loached through GameEx on first try. Kill Daphne, GameEx resumes, relaunch a Daphne title through GameEx all well. Never hangs again. Time

Fire button and left right on joystick toggles alphabetically. Your method toggles by every ten titles. Both work... Time

Strange. First try to load Daphne through GameEx always hangs... CTrl, Alt, Del and Shut down Daphne manually. Now on relaunch through GameEx all games load fine. This has to be done once and all is well unless computer is rebooted. That's my fix for now. Again, games load on first try through Daphne loader. Second try with GameEx... Time

Mojo, This already exists. Press and hold your fire button and push the joystick right while still holding the button. Right will take you to the next letter and left will take you back one letter. Time

Running 5.24. Daphne worked sporadically in 5.19 for me. Now in 5.24 it won't launch at all. Using .NET Framework 1.1 and use the recommended framefile reference as below: vldp -fullscreen -x 640 -y 480 -nohwaccel (Global Setting) -framefile c:\Daphne\mpeg2\ace.txt (Game Launch Example) Anyone have anything different? GameEx tries to launch the game but then freezes at a black screen and I need to ctrl-alt-del to pull up task manager to close Daphne manually. FYI, my mame roms are on E: USB drive along with Mame32, GameEx and Daphne + Roms runs on c: as referenced above. Thoughts? TIme

Movieman, This is not possible. If you want to run GameEx and Mame32 from computer to computer, you should buy a USB hard drive, install both there and connect the drive to whatever computer you want to use it with. This is what I do at home. Time
