    romsets

thanks headkaze, i'm using the map file already, it helps having a clean cabinet! btw, awesome app! i'm just running out of space on my cab and the full whdload set is like 6 gb, by removing the files instead of filtering it should be much less... is there a possibility to delete filtered games for good?

    romsets

unfortunately there only seems to be a sps no intro set for amiga and since winuae loader needs gamebase formats to work, i can't use no intro anyway

    romsets

just a short question (i hope it's allowed to ask that, tom) if i have a complete romset of let's say amiga whdload roms and every game is there like 3-6 times (different rev's) and i want to only keep one rom for every game. is there a way in clearmamepro to do so?
  4. that could have several reasons. I think it would be most likely a problem with your gfx card. what card do you use? Future pinball needs a fairly modern card to work properly... at least one with 3d acceleration. I use a geforce 4 mx. It's not the most recent card but it works nice with future pinball. Complex tables tend to stutter a bit more though...
  5. haha true! btw, i gotta try tempest, don't know it from the old days but you make a good promotion for it!
  6. thanks tempest, i'm using this function quite often... i just did a double post and didn't know if i can delete my posts
  7. got it working with the whdloader. great tool! now i got rid of the sps collection and got the gamebase (adf) files since the game ar enot copy protected that way
  8. thanks man, i appreciate your help. i worked with clrmamepro before so it should be no big issue. let's hope it works or is there maybe the possibility to launch winuae just like that out of gameex?
  9. hey hk, i wanted to try out your winuae loader, but i didn't get it to work. here is what i did: I have the No Intro Amiga Collection. All files are zipped and contain ipf files. I downloaded the plugin to use ipf files with winuae. if i attach the zip into the floppy of winuae the game works fine. In WinuaeLoader I configured all the paths and set the gamemode to sps. But when i click on run game no game show up. when i use winuae loader by command line it doesn't give me any message about what could have failed. I tried it both with packed and unpacked files, i put the kick.rom in the devs/kickrom dir... What could be the problem? thanks for your help!
  10. weird, for me it was other way around... converting images with magiciso or ultraiso didn't work pretty well, images got smaller and data seemed to be missing...i just have like 7 roms or so and some are not recognised by epsxe but by psx (maybe the new version will be an improvement) greatflash, does it save a lot of disc space setting windows to compress the folder and how exactly can you do this?

    clrmamepro

    sorry tom, won't happen again!

    clrmamepro

my c64 rom folder looked really messy before i gave goodgb64 a try. i downloaded the dat file, fired up clrmamepro, added the dat as profile, double clicked on it, then on default. after that I clicked on the rebuilder (i assume you know the steps anyway ) and it found 360 roms out of 6000. It zipped the files and renamed them appropriately. Can somebody maybe pm me a good source for downloading a c64 collection. Some roms like giana sisters and international karate are missing now
  13. I always had speed issues with epsxe... sometimes games ran too slow and after that too fast. I switched to psx now and everything works fine. Maybe i'll give the new version of epsxe a try since i play the games on a 22" crt and the blurry psx113 style looks really bad compared to petes d3d and ogl plugins for epsxe (with epsxe i saw the eyes of the tekken characters for the first time while playing)
  14. i'll try it out with this cmd option: --controller=<value> i usually do the same when it comes to figuring out errors, i create different setups to see if i can get it to work this way! i'll let you know if i can get it to work with bt switched on
  15. thanks for the hint does that mean i just delete the controller.znc file or how do i disable the plugin? why is zinc so bad with human interface devices and gui's?
  16. i just switched on the goodrom support and now all my zipped c64 games work through ccs64
  17. hey guys i now spend 2 hours trying to figure out why zinc stopped working... It is the Bluetooth device I innsttalled recently! Bluetooth installs a HID bluetooth game controller device and that makees zinc stop working. when i switch off bluetooth it works fine i found this out after getting the following message in wberror.txt: Winter Blast controller plugin v 1.6 DirectInput: 5 joystick(s) found ERROR: Failed to set joystick X range unfortunately i can't remove the hid bbluetoooth device. right now tthe only solution is to disabble bluetooth does somebody know a workaround for this issue?
  18. does the exe contain spaces? try to rename it to something wihtout spaces
  19. in the official mame release the developers have stated that you can't disable nag screens telling you about errors in an emulation of a specific game (eg puzzle bobble 4). so all derivates of the original mame (like mame plus) have to pay attention to these rules (even if mame plus has support for saving high scores in games which the original mame doesn't support anymore) these issues don't matter to people who have their keyboard and mouse to click ok on the warning screen to get rid of it but if you have a cabinet built with arcade joysticks and buttons (like the x-arcade) instead of keyboard and mouse then it could be quite annoying especially in attract mode (having the screensaver set up to display mame games at random). many games won't start because of the nag screen. so you compile your own version. it's more for advanced users because you got to download the source code and change settings in the file /emu/src/ui.c to disable all warnings. after that you "compile" means you render the source code into a program (exe and dll files) thats what it's all about
  20. if you mean image enhancers similar to zsnes (like smoothing out blocky gfx) you should use mame plus. It gives you the option to enhance video display with the 2xsai engine or the eagle engine for example. It makes the old games look much better in my opinion! If you want to get rid of the disclaimer screens telling you to move the joystick or press ok or noticing you about imperfect games it gets a bit more tricky but it's doable. just pm me if you are intersetd in self compiling your mame version!
  21. i tried to run my previously working mame.exe but it doesn't even start anymore... maybe there is something wrong in the configuration...
  22. thanks m8, much appreciated... i just found out that i still have this annoying bug, switching resolutions didn't work... i have to close mamep.exe once via task manager and then the input for all games work when i start them up a second time it's somehow weird to see the mouse on top, when the problem comes up at the moment this bug makes the machine not really usable
  23. thanks for the hint hk i don't want to see the artwork when my game is 4:3. i have crop artwork turned on and whenever I play a 4:3 neo geo game it gives me a nasty red line at the top or bottom. when i edit bezelVersion=2 does this only activate artwork for vertical games? i'm not sure if i get the difference between artwork and bezel right...
  24. I guess noone is really into these specific questions.. well, i just figured out the most annoying thing: mame not accepting input on startup it seems like if you switch gameex to keep the current resolution you could run in troubles like that, i just defined the resolution again manually (1024x768) and guess what, that did the trick! now if i only could fix these other iussues...
  25. looks very promising! I love the idea to see the artwork with the videos
