Response 1. That's what I thought. So I will download them seperatly and map them accordingly to the version of MAME I'm using. Response 2. Well I have scanned my roms with clrmamepro and everything came out correct as in nothing missing. Even when I ran the audit within MAMEUI64.exe. Ok so it was made by Taito , I thought it was Atari...but still I'm not seeing all my Roms as you see more than I, with more filters assigned. I do have that rom in my folder, let me see if it shows up just using basic MAMEUI64.exe. EDIT: Well I just checked and the game shows up under MAMEUI64.exe(Using .138 MAMEUI + .138 ROMS) Jungle Hunt (Brasil)-->junglebr Jungle Hunt (US)--->jungleh Jungle King (Japan)-->junglek Jungle King (Japan, Earlier)-->junglekj2 It says the Us version is a CLONE of "Jungle King(Japan)"..is that why it might not show up in GameEX? I think I have No Clones unless better..but still........

Question 1. I've noticed setting up my GameEX in the section [Advanced MAME Settings] the mappings for \DATA\catver.ini \DATA\nplayers.ini \DATA\history.dat \DATA\mameinfo.dat All linked to my [C:\GameEX] install folder but are these files updated? Should I be using or downloading the latest and mapping these files to my MAMEUI64 Emulator install folder, with the most recent Versions of these files? I never really bothered with these mappings since I though GameEX updated these files. I'm on MAME .138 currently and will be moving to .139 soon. Question 2. I've been looking to play that game by Atari "JUNGLEHUNT" and I know my ROMS are updated to .138. I do have some filters on in GamerEX setup but I cannot find that game? Here is my [Advanced MAME Settings] in GamerEX. Use Game Filter : YES Game Filter : Japan;Korea;Asia;Hispanic;Bootleg;French;German;Hack;Prototype;Hardware Remove Duplicates : Auto Don't Filter the ROMS : pacman;splatter No Adult Games : No Porn Please No Mahjong Games : No Mahjong Games No Clones : No Clones unless Better Show All MAME Games : Yes When GamerEX starts---> MAME-->All MAME Games---> I get 1 of 2660(Does that sound right with my filters?) Where is JungleHunt? I see the Rom file in my ROMS folder. Anyhow thanks for the help.

Hey Thanks a lot... I never knew where to put these files. On another note.. I notice I have around 53 SEGA Model 2 roms..but only 30 shows up on the GameEX selection screen? Is there a setting I'm missing?

I noticed using some new themes they are missing certain consoles I'm emulating under GameEX. You know like the image of the console when you Hover over it in the menu... How do I add my own under certain themes? For each individual console I have? I'm doing like 15 different emulators.. I've seen pictures of Game Consoles but just do not know how to add/View them under whichever theme or what folder to put the imgages in.

So I did exactly that as what I posed(Still not sure it is correct locations and such) but now the games which used to play when I selected them under MAME, is just now blank when I click on it to play it under the new Emulator selection screen...

Sweet...I've never actually used a preconfigured file for my Emus...how do you implement this into gameEx settings.... So drop the .map file here"C:\GameEx\MAP FILES" and the .ini file here "C:\GameEx\CONFIG\EMULATORS\IMPORT-EXPORT" Thanks again,

Hey I just setup like 13 Emulators on GamerEX but I wanted to separate Sega Model 2 from the predetermined setup with all the MAME folders. How do you setup a blank Emulator? seems like there are predefined Emulators on the list during the "Emulator Setup" section of the Wizard. The thing is, without having to scroll through all Mame games to find my SEGA Model 2 games is the problem. I'll probably do the same with Zinc if there is a solution.

Sounds good Queeg, I will try that that. I guess that's why I'm able to calibrate a 360 USB controller and not the TE stick. I always though the 360 Pad was also POV. It works navigating after clicking on the MAMEUI.exe and GameEX? I must of missed the [input for all games], I will try that. Eventually I will have to build and actual Control Panel, it's just, I'm not at that stage. Thanks-Again

Well yes, I'm [TESTING] the TE stick to see what works. Only one button works.(The one that starts up the game). Well when I connect my [Xbox 360 USB controller], you can use the Analogs to search for games(Hitting Up/Down) but not with the TE stick. I have been over to the SRK boards and some say their stick works and is activated just like an [Xbox 360 USB controller] with the same drivers and some have use Xpadder and some, well same issues I'm having. [EDIT] - Well I was able to map the keys after setting the TE stick on LS[DP]RS settings. Back in the GameEX menu, you can't navigate with it. The Madcatz TE stick has all the same buttons an Xbox 360 controller has but doesn't work in the same manner. I'm sure it probably works well to SF4 on [PC] or something but haven't had god luck with Emulators. Another thing when I go to Controller panel/Devices you can't even Calibrate the damn thing. I'll try editing a MAME game through the Input settings on the game Menu. I wonder if I have to do this for every game. I'll end up getting rid of the TE stick. I was able to set the buttons input in the game after setting the stick to LS[DP]RS but back in GameEX menu it doesn't move.

Well the Xbox 360 [PC] controller works fine and those drivers are installed. It's my Madcatz 360 SF4 TE Stick that's having issues. Plus if I go to [Control Panel]-->Game Controllers Adapters, the TE stick is listed and the buttons respond when I press them.

I recently got this stick and was ready to plug and play but nothing works. If I open MameUI_0.135.exe and try to navigate only the [ENTER] button works. I try with the Emulator(GameEX) and that doesn't work either. Now I do have an Xbox 360 Controller[PC-Version] that is emulated fine(Not the D-Pad though) but not this stick. I did click joystick support under Mame.exe. I'm in the process of getting all my files/hardware together so I'm doing lots of testing. Anyone have this working? -Thanks

Hi guys, I recently got a Madcatz TE stick for the xbox 360 just wandering what's the best way to get it working with this FE? Not sure how to Map the buttons and such. I wanted to try it out on my PC and might as well try MAME. Thanks

Strange I was using a certain theme which I really liked but changing it seemed to have fixed the issue. I'll run some more test about your theory.

Not sure what happened but now I get a GameEX nag screen like I did, before I first donated. I have the Key.reg for it but seems like it doesn't work anymore. What's up with it?

I knew I had this issue before but could not find my old posts. Where is this "catver.ini" I can't find it. I don't remember erasing it. I'm guessing it's suppose to be in the "folder" Folder.

When I click the update on GameEX to update my new games listings. Sometimes I have to exit GameEX then go back in for it to update. 1. When that is done and I click on, lets say, MAME and select "all games" I only get 2000 games to total. I know I have more than that. Could I be hiding certain games? during the setup. 2. Also I would like to view "Genres" under the Mame Emulator but I also get this long list of .001--->.122 and I have to scroll through it and it's annoying. What I'm talking about: Screen 1 http://i42.tinypic.com/21joxu9.jpg Screen 2 http://i44.tinypic.com/714w0j.jpg I'm not sure if these are "RETRO" games and such but I have turned that to "Off" and I still get this stupid list under the Mame sub menu. Quick Question, Is it possible to run GameEX on two devices?

Ok so I did receive a new tankstick. (very good service). I'm using MameUI32 and I did not know the old xarcade.cfg file was not usable anymore. I was able to locate the new xarcade.cfg file and loaded it in the "ctrl" folder and pointed MAMEeui32 to that. I'm guessing that did the trick. All the buttons work like the are suppose to, tough I only had issues with the Player 1 "stick" not working (Once a game started). Ok so I'm back on track. Thanks for the quick support.

Yeah I know this thing should work out the box. I returned it and got another one. On the input screen under the gameEX setup what should it look like? This is my first stick, I keep hearing everyone just plugs it in and it works. When I start a game on GameEX the Player 1 Control Stick doesn't do anything. The Player 2 seems to respond. I'm on the second stick same problem so now I know it's a setup. I didn't think I had to use any special/custom config files. grrr

I just purchased a new X-Arcade Tankstick after seeing the reviews and raves about it but how do I pick that stick under the GameEX configurations? All my buttons work but the control stick doesn't work at all.(Any direction) when I start up the front-end. I got a feeling something is wrong with my purchase. Thanks

Hey you might be right but I'm looking for a Catver.ini file an dI can't find it anywhere in any folder...

For the artwork I went into Mame Direct and went into the options and disabled artwork, bezel and some other things. My impression was you could disable things under GameEX.
