1. What's the best way to port GameEX, I just built my Win7 MAME machine and have to port GameEX to it. I don't feel like setting everything up again. All my roms..etc are set for C: Root. Do I have to install GameEX to register with Windows XP or can I just copy it over? 2. I have yet to get Laserdisc working..I would like to create a custom Menu on this new system and add all the Arcade Emus on the start page and Consoles under Console Emulators. Should I setup everything first then use that Custom Menu program? How does it know where everything is located? 3. Is there a good tutorial on the Custom Menu? I just want the Arcade stuff on the start page , that's it really. I wish there was a yes or no when setting up the Emus in GameEX that asked "Show on start page". Yes or No Thanks

yeah I just did that but it runs many types of games and there is no Arcade controller picture file to see what buttons should be what. I'm not even sure what these arcade cabs look like.

ummm well I have my screen resolution on max 1920 x 1200 so I'm guessing this does not stretch? to fill the screen. I only had it on 1024 X 768 in the Demul on full screen settings. I'm also using an X-Arcade stick with NUM on for 1st player...you think that might be causing issues?
-
umm def not working....The game comes on in a window and I see nothing happen. I did add the "%{ENTER}" in the send key section..I did not specify milliseconds before sending though. I can't even test this outside of GameEX just loading the Emulator.(shouldn't I be able to?)
-
Edit: just tried Alt + Enter that didn't work. Is that what sets it to Full Screen?

I want to run Demul full screen from GameEX...not sure how to set it up. It does have command Line support now.
-
Hey what are you guys using for controls in Demul? I have a Xarcade but wasn't sure how to set it up? well the jamma portion/Naomi..
-
Yeah , the thing is I'm not even sure what are the actually button maps to these games but the Sega Model emu only has 4 buttons though. 1, 2, 3, 4. We'll see. Thanks

I was wondering do these Emulators support a default Input config mappings? Do I really have to set all the input for each game?

Turbo Grafx - CD How do I get the roms to show up?
kewlkat007 replied to kewlkat007's topic in General
Hey here is my setup screenshots... I click on a game , the screen gets dark and it goes back to Gamex. I don't see daemon lite launching either which I would expect. I went into Ootake and changed to the mount Drive E: and told it to use Syscard3.pce... My files are unzipped Bin + Cue, how does gameex know which one to launch or Daemon lite to mount? I've only worked with 1 file whether it be ISO...etc just not Bin + Cue files for Cdrom based games. -
Turbo Grafx - CD How do I get the roms to show up?
kewlkat007 replied to kewlkat007's topic in General
I can have them Either/Or....I have them zipped and unzipped trying to get this to work. What's best method? when it comes to loading the games with Daemon Tools Lite(Which I'm not sure how that works from the GameEX menu)... It's my first time doing CD-Rom files in these formats...Sega CD/Turbo CD...Bin/Que -
I'm trying to setup Turbo Grafx - CD but should I have them zipped as one file? It's Bin + Cue format. Trying Ootake as the Emulator...Anyone have the same setup can shed any light thanks. I can't get the games to shop up and I've tried .Bin filters and such in the settings.

Thanks Celly but I've looked at those instructions but I can't get any games to launch(after I click it), that's why I posted that Daphne Log file. Here is the Setup screenshot, I might be missing something. I'm only trying to get one game to work and then work off that for the rest. 1. I have all my Video/Frame files in the VLP folder. 2. I've enabled Laserdisk in the gameex setup.(it appears under emulators screen though) 3.I've enabled command line to start the game in the daphne loader then copy that command to the game setup options.

Having a Hard time...I'm using Freedo 1.6, I heard it was stable. I downloaded Deamon tools lite. Not exactly sure how does one chooses a game by clicking on it or even setting it up in gameEX

What happened to 4-Player Mame Rom List? After update
kewlkat007 replied to kewlkat007's topic in General
That did the trick, I remapped that file from the gamex/DATA folder. -
I would like to vouch for that as well......just to have all ARCADE TYPE EMULATION show up on the Main Screen as MAME and have Emulators to themselves. Any help on why games start by themselves through daphne loader but not through Gamex?

Where will Daphne show up when I add it to Gameex? I just don't see it. I'm testing it with like one game right now and it's nowhere in GameEX when I enable it in the setup menu. Edit: I found it but keep getting Bad Command line when i try to launch a game...any HELP!!!

Just fn Awesome.....I been doing all of this the last 6 months emulating around 20 hardware..So much work. 1. Does it create a log file(in the roms folder) of what it actually renamed? That would be nice. 2. I only download/care about USA and sometimes World Roms(for Arcades), would be nice if you could integrate a Dat file to choose only those roms or just certain ones you want(Via Check Boxes), before it goes and search for matches. 3.I do use the No-Intro [RomName](Region Initials, not letter).zip, maybe a built in Database could be added in the future to make this complete. I will test this out, I'm on Daphne right now. Thanks for the Hardwork Circo and this wonderful board.

I have the option checked to show 4-player MAME games on my Main MAME list but it's not showing? Well it was before and I have not made changes...was something changed in the new UPDATE?

What exactly does this software do in relations to MAME and new builds?

so I'm finally setting up Daphne(I've never set it up or gotten it to work). The structure of where things go have always confused me. Here is what I have.. All the non-distributed -Roms, -Video files(MPG), -Daphne emulator(own folder) I think I'm missing or just not understanding -Framefiles(still confused about where to get that)? -Do I need to run Daphne loader from the Daphne.exe folder? -Do you have to setup each game by themselves first? -Integration into Gameex with Emuvids and all that good stuff like my other EMus. -Where do I start>? Any help would be appreciated. This is one of the last Gamex integration emus. I guess I would like to get the damn thing working outside of, like I usually do. I do not currently own DVD's for them 4 games that are still being distributed.(Not worried about those right now)

Always something with this Emulator....lol So I'm thinking the pre-built MAP file list only the games that I wanna play but I need to match up the Rom number(currently in the Map file) to the actual [ROM].zip to match the MAME Videos/Snaps? This is a perfect example of what I was talking about earlier. What the best way to create your own MAP file?
