  1. This, and the CameraMod combined with the built-in Pinball Arcade support in Pinball X works perfect for me! No more news, and its been working every time.... I just gotta update my grid positions! Thanks Gin and Tom!
  2. Well... I guess it was on my end? I noticed that my CPU usage was very high when using FutureDMD with multiple videos, but I also noticed that the CPU usage was also high with 3 videos and no FutreDMD. So I guess the issue is not with FutureDMD.... and when I play 3 of the same videos outside of Pinball X they play fine with only half the cpu usage. I also forgot that my system was only a dual-core (former server) system....doh! So I guess all of them combined with Pinball X is too much for a dual core cpu? Or am I doing something wrong? I have since swapped it for my quad core i5 2500k, and all is running beautiful! 3 HD videos in Pinball X and Future DMD (and its plug-in)!
  3. Excellent....looks great on my cab! Thanks.... hope to see more! Lots of source material available for this type of backglass style, that's for sure!
  4. Hmmm... I noticed something about the FutureDMD plug-in for Pinball X. The plug-in runs excellent when there's only still pictures in Pinball X for each table/dmd/backglass.... but I noticed that when there are video clips being played for the playfield / dmd / backglass that the FutureDMD plug-in that shows the stats,etc... slows down ALOT.....as in the text and animations move really slow.... this seems to get worse with the more videos that are being played at once. If I have only one video for the backglass, the text and animation speed of FutureDMD slow down a little...if a DMD video is also being played as well it gets to about half speed, but if 3 videos are going, then it crawls.... Any idea what's going on? Nothing else is affected at all.... Pinball X and the videos still play fine as does anything that is launched by Pinball X... nothing else slows down at all. Hopefully this is a known issue that can be fixed on my end... it unfortunately makes the Pinball X plug-in unusable like this.... Maybe some way for FutureDMD to get higher task priority, etc...?
  5. Excellent.... I also use the camera mod, and was having the "whats new" issues as well. Glad to see I can disable this. An option to disable the automatic key presses would be nice though in case we don't want to use it. Pinball X did a great job of getting most of the table database setup already for me. I have a full arcade control panel in my cab, so navigating is no problem for me. Also I have to not only just rotate my screen each time PBA runs, but I also also have to switch my backglass monitor to be the primary screen whenever I launch PC games or MAME horizontal games, and then switch this all back when returning to Pinball X. I also need to have my 3rd screen in a different kind of setup in order to use my "extended" custom backglass for FP. I've used "display" and other programs which "mostly work, but they have very inconsistent results. To do the above very easily I use "multimonitortool", which is excellent because you can just arrange you monitors any way you want, and just save the arrangement to a cfg file. I have 3 layouts for 3 cfg files (Pinball, PBA, PC) setup. Then you can just use multi monitor tool in a command line (or shortcut) to load your cfg, and it works perfectly "every time" in and out of Pinball X. Highly recommended, for any kind of setup.
  6. After getting no sleep.... I finally got it sorted out.... blah! When I get more time I'll put more info on here.... but bottom line is I had to setup and use Rocket Launcher to launch my PC Games from Pinball X. I did the same thing for running MAME from from Pinball X so that I could use the nice bezels that alot of people using RL like to make. Rocket Launcher is configured to use Pinball X as its default Frontend. After that it saw all my systems from Pinball X including my PC system. Then I had to setup the PC "emulator" in Rocket Launcher, which is PCLauncher, and I set ip up as a virtual emulator. This video helped... I just made my frontend Pinball X instead of Hyperspin. ... and some helpful links... http://www.rlauncher.com/wiki/index.php?title=PCLauncher http://www.rlauncher.com/forum/showthread.php?1025-PC-Launcher-cant-find-Emu_Path&p=10333#post10333 I'm a little tired now.... so hopefully this will suffix for now. Now Pinball X really rocks for me. I'll show a demo when I'm all setup with some artwork,etc...

  8. I would be VERY interested in getting PC Games running in Pinball X.... haven't had any luck yet....
  9. I was wondering how to get normal PC Games to launch from Pinball X. I have a Pinball / Arcade cabinet combo unit that I made to play Pinball as well as MAME games. Since I have two full controllers in the cab, I can also play almost any PC game that runs on a gamepad (I wired gamepads to the stick and buttons). What I want to do is have Pinball X simply launch my PC Games (by either .bat or shortcut .lnk files). I setup PC Games as a custom system, but can't really get it to work. Is there a known way to get this to work. I really prefer using Pinball X as it makes very nice use of my pin cabinet's 2nd and third screen for artwork, and the dmd. Haaving to leave Pinball X to use Steam or GameEx is really not desired, and they can't use the extra screens like Pinball X can. Any help would be great.
  10. How do you get your PC Games to launch from Pinball X? I have a combo arcade and pinball cabinet and want Pinball X to simply be able to launch normal PC Games via icons (*.lnk) or .bat files if possible. I also have a simpit so using Pinball X would also be appealing as well. Ideas?
  11. I have a Virtual Pinball and Arcade cab combo that I have built. I use FutureDMD and its Pinball X plug-in. I have it always running. Everything runs great in PinballX and Future Pinball. I was wondering if its possible to have the FutureDMD Pinball X plug-in continue to show "stats, etc" after launching MAME, or anything else that is not FP related, instead of having just a blank DMD when playing non Pinball games in my cab. Also is it possible to have futureDMD show my own videos or pictures in the same way that pin2dmd does? I was thinking about having some custom videos (formatted for DMD)run through FutureDMD outside of Pinball X. Thanks. Terry
