  1. I'm not familiar with the lasted version of Kodi sorry, so I can't tell you if anything has changed. As for leds ... mine are all ambient audio activated. The visualisation on the playfield picks the actual audio feed however. See https://vimeo.com/190683463 It can be linked to the leds however, as someone did it recently. Let me find the link. 2. There are destructions online for DIY kits that allow higher lpm to be used. From memory, I think they were being run off an Audrino ...or was it a Pi? nah, Audrino I think. I'm going to chase that up, as I might build one for behind my BeerKeg MAME or race sim screen. EDIT: I just found the destructable and it would be cheaper to buy the one I linked.
  3. autoexec.py can be used for other addons too, but no need now that you have it working. re the cab lighting (and I know this is not what your thinking about, but I just find it really cool) is http://www.dreamscreentv.com/ Using addressable LEDs to follow & match the colour that is being displayed on the screen. Imagine that chasing & matching the visualisations in real time. Would be awesome! EDIT: Oooooohhhh.... I just saw that it has a Music Mode that it creates from audio channels. Sweet!!
  4. Google "kodi autoexec.py" as you can tell KODI to start in an addon.
  5. Sweet. That seemed to work. Not the greatest quality, but you get the idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. https://vimeo.com/189273575 Let's see if that processes. The last video I uploaded to Vimeo failed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hi GP, Kodi has been running fine and really there has been no need to change anything on the Jukebox side of things, as it does that well. Except that I have updated the Skin to include a 3rd topper screen, but the "operation" side of it is still the same. I continue to add "add-ons" to Kodi from time to time however, so now it also does things like Digital Radio, NetFlix streaming, YouTube Music Video, NASA images, CatchUp TV etc and I am currently working on it playing retrogames from online ROM databases. I will shoot a new video for you later today, as it's 6am here at the moment and the wife might not be too happy with the Jukebox blasting
  8. Sounds like it might be a good option Carny, as Scottacus is wanting the visualisations on both screens. I've set mine up differently, with KODI running 100% on the backglass and a JukeBox slide show running on the playfield. This meant I could call the KODI exe direct without additional scripts.
  9. Are you sure that your table path is correct? "TablePath=C:\Kodi\Games\Kodi\Tables" looks a little odd?
  10. I have now tried VPX 10.2 2800 and same result. I swapped my video cables and same result. I tried Full screen and that worked, but I ended up with other issues (shutdown problems mainly) Interestingly, if I leave it as is, I can open the table with no focus - close & reopen - and I then have focus. From that point it works each time I go back to the table, provided that I have not rebooted between visits. So that might be the simplest solution for me, not the best solution I admit, but a quick close & reopen is not all that taxing on my bwain
  11. Thanks Carny, I'm in the middle of a "24h away from pinball family day" (suffering withdrawal symptoms btw) so will have a look when I'm back. I think it is just a timing issue as you mentioned, so I might try one more shuffle of the video leads (that fixed some other issues before) btw I did run this in the latest VP along with many other tables, but it started suffering the "no eject mine issue" that's going around. I found this version of VP solved that, so I put it in it's own system just for that version.
  12. What also happens is that the backglass window doesn't close. As for multiballs: I get 2 multiballs but only 1 during last call. Also, I'm running in windowed.
  13. Thanks Carny, As someone who doesn't code, it will take me a bit to digest that. The thing is that this table always worked as normal before, without any involvement of additional scripts. :-/
  14. Hi guys, it's not a big issue bit it is an annoyance that I would like to resolve. I recently upgraded my video card and had a few issues with screen positioning. Re-ordering my video cables solved that issue and PBX runs perfectly across 3 screens with over 150 tables.... BUT (there is always a but lol), one table 'Cactus Canyon Continued (PROC)' starts with the play field on screen, but not in focus. A single mouse click on screen brings the PF back into focus and it then plays fine. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Rusty.
  15. I use Game Manager rather than edit any xml's manually, as I know that I'll just stuff things up.... I have each version of VP installed as it's own "system" within VPX, so in Game Manager I can create any number of "groups" and in each, place any singular system or combination of systems. I have one group that is VPX only and if I close PBX on it, that's where it opens back up again. I don't think Game Manager is able to create a group with selected tables from different systems however. It would be nice to have a Favourites group like that, but I've not seen how to do it in the GM.
  16. Thought Bubble / Feature Request: Have PinballX open an extra window for the display of Topper images or videos. Application: Partially sink a third "topper" screen into our topboxes (sitting behind our backglass screens) or simply low mount the screen on top. It's an "out there" idea I know. EDIT: Thanks to PcTeknic I have it working. EDIT 2: Feature request reinstated - Duplicate the DMD Images feature, so that Topper Images is an "extra" option in settings. This would allow both /DMD Images to display on the DMD and /Topper Images to display on the topper.
  17. I believe this to be true for all brands, but for screens smaller than their 40's
  18. To add to what others have said re "power on" and 'thin bezel' to avoid de-casing issues, I think it's important to consider viewing angle. Generally when we purchase a TV we stand in front of them in the store. Of course this is not the position that we view the screen from when in a cab, so stand well to the side and make sure that the image holds up. Some TVs will lose contrast and look quite dull & boring when viewed from such angles. These should be avoided.
  19. Suggestion/Feature Request: The ability to send selected PinballX sounds to a separate secondary sound device. Reason: I have tactile feedback at the flippers driven by a vibrating sound driver mounted under the lockbar. In VP I separate mechanical sounds and send them to this vibrating driver so that I feel them as well as hear them. All other sounds/music go to the main sound system as normal. The Goal: To have the PBX's table menu sound (the "clunk") come from the lockbar. Not only will I then feel the clunk, but it will be coming from the direction of the menu wheel. All other PBX intro/attract music would still be played via the main sound system within the cabinet & backbox.
  20. Thanks. I updated them and it seems to have solved the problem.
  21. PBX attract mode generally runs perfectly, but after a while the bottom 1/2 of the backglass goes to black, while the top 1/2 still displays and rotates correctly with the tables. I run a mix of PNG and video as my backglass and my initial thought is that it could be tripping over a video? (just guessing) Has anyone seen this problem before?
  22. When have windoze problems ever made sense? lol Dr Google suggest it's either that or video driver. Considering that I have no issues with anything else, I have to point my finger at the app. I'm doing a major update to the second PinCab today (it's not even running VPX yet, but is running Win7), so I might look at installing it on that to have a play and see if I think it's worth pursuing on #1 cab.
  23. Hmmm... that just constantly screen flickers for me Not just a 'flicker flicker' but a '95% of the time black - 5% visible' kinda flicker.... so more of a flash really. I might leave that app for another day, my Win10 system for VP is running perfectly and I don't want to risk stuffing it up. EDIT: Consulted Dr Google and 'Screen Flash' appears to be an "Incompatible App" problem with Windows10
  24. One of the reasons I love having a mame joystick on my cab. Rather than direct table support from PBX for PBA or FX2, I only need to PBX launch the apps (which never changes) and once in, I can navigate with the native GUI regardless of any changes.
  25. "Cactus Canyon Continued" ** Image removed: There is a much better one available now from the usual places.
