Jepp, in my Cab I'm using VPin only, after reading your Tutorial I understood how to add this lists. Since I'm using PinballX I'm working in (or on?) the Visual Pinball.xml with the Hyp..pin XML Editor ... (Hyp..pin was my first try to get a useful frontend, but it failed in my "hardwareweak" Cab - it was really slow and leeking) As I switched to PinballX the editor was still there and I added all tables with it. This is what it prints into the .xml <game name="Atlantis_VP9.2_1.2_FS"> <description>Atlantis</description> <manufacturer>Bally</manufacturer> <year>1989</year> <type>SS</type> </game> So I only have to open the Visual Pinball.xml, erase the "unwanted" tables and save the new list in the same folder with the name I like. Really very simple You only have to know how Thank you very much, I'll care Friday and post the result. ( But I think nothing can go wrong ) Cheers Gilbert

Hi all, I'm using PinballX in my PinCab. I'm really happy with it, everything works absolutly fine. Fast, good looking (and sounding) perfect... ... ... nearly ;-) There are 'bout 140 tables running, I really would like to sort them a little. PinballX already has the feature to select "1970th" / "1980th" / "1990th" / and "Modern Tables" (Btw .: Don't know how "Modern Tables" are selectet from PinballX ... ??? I have strange results in there, anyway ...) I would like to put "1960th" and two custom folders in that menu. Is there a possibility??? Couldn't find nothing in the forums or FAQ's/Help files. Thanks in forward, regards from germany Gilbert

Backglass Image when browsing tables (2-screen Cab)
Roterbaron replied to Roterbaron's topic in PinballX Media Projects
Thanx for the flowers! Sure it's a lot of work, but sometimes work can be fun and I really like when things are round. Very often it's the "small" things that make the difference. btw, if someboy needs another Backglassimage in the same style, feel free to tell me I'll care 'bout it. -

Backglass Image when browsing tables (2-screen Cab)

Hi, I was just working on my 2-screen Cab (in meanwhile it's 130+ tables on it) and they all had different styles/quality of backglass images. Doesn't look pretty at all when you are browsing tables with PinballX. So I decieded to care 'bout that. I also like the information of Manufacturer,Year it was build and (if possible) units made. PinballX can display Manufacturer and Year on the table-screen, but it's no way to display it on the Backglass Screen, and the table screen is "full" enough for my opinion. I made new backglass images for every table, choosing the best quality pics I could find, adding manufacturer, year and units. In my Cab it really looks pretty enough for me now So if anyone has the same Problem ... here is a list of Images I updated: 250cc (Inder 1992)Addams Family Gold, the (Williams 1992)Addams Family, the (Williams 1992)Airborne (Capcom 1996)Amazing Spider-Man (Gottlieb 1980)Apollo 13 (Sega 1995)Atlantis (Bally 1989)Attack and Revenge From Mars (Bally 1999)Austin Powers (Stern 2001)Back to the Future (Data East 1990)Bad Cats (Williams 1989)Bally Gameshow, The (Williams 1990)Barracora (Williams 1981)Batman Forever (Sega 1995)Baywatch (Sega 1995)Big Brave (Gottlieb 1974)Big Guns (Williams 1987)Big House (Gottlieb 1989)Black Rose (Bally 1992)Blackout (Williams 1980)Bride Of Pin-Bot, The Machine (Williams 1991)Buck Rogers (Gottlieb 1980)Cactus Canyon (Bally 1998)Centaur (Bally 1981)Centigrade 37 (Gottlieb 1977)Champion Pub (Bally 1998)Charlie's Angels (Gottlieb 1978)Cirqus Voltaire (Bally 1997)Congo (Williams 1995)Cosmic Gunfight (Williams 1982)Creature from the Black Lagoon (Bally 1992)Cue Ball Wizard (Gottlieb 1992)Cyclone (Williams 1988)Devil's Dare (Gottlieb 1982)Diamond Lady (Premier 1988)Diner (Williams 1990)Disco Fever (Williams 1978)Doctor Who (Bally 1992)Dolly Parton (Bally 1978)Dr Dude (Bally 1990)Dracula, Bram Stokers (Williams 1993)Earth Wind Fire (Zaccaria 1981)Earthshaker (Williams 1989)Elvira and the Party Monsters (Bally 1989)Elvis (Stern 2004)Farfalla (Zaccaria 1983)Fathom (Bally 1981)Fire! PinballX Enhancements/Features Requests
Roterbaron replied to Draco1962's topic in FAQs, Guides, & Other Useful Information
Hi all, I just wonder if there is a possibility to make PinballX show the additional details on the Backglass Screen ??? I was reading FAQ's, searching the forum, was looking for something in PinballX Folder on my PC ... maybe I'm not clever enough :-( I really would like to display Manufacturer and Year in the Backglass. The information is really useful, but on the playfield it all is getting tooo much. (Tableimage/Wheelimage/Infotext/Wheeltext) Would also be very nice to be able to resize the Info window ... but that's only the "dot on the i" Thanx and kind regards from cold Germany Gilbert -

I simply forgot the iPAC board :-( think the shifted key really is handled by the iPAC controller. Would be nice to get your PinballX.ini send it via mail, if you like. Regards Gilbert

Hi Itchigo, I just installed Rocket III in my Cab ... absolute no Problems! Got the files from vpfor*ms.org ( Rocket III (Bally 1967) 1.0a FS / Rocket III (Bally 1967) dB2S / Media Pack and GuStaV's mp3 ) I had nothing to change in the script of the table, (only the Coin-Button in the "keys-option") and it works ... at once ... in VP and in PinballX ... with a working backglass in both. I'm using Visual Pinball 9.9.0 and PinballX 2.6.2. So the problem seems to be your software ??? Regards Gilbert

I need the "shift" key for navigation in MAME ... (1P and 2P = ESC / 1P + Joy L = Enter / 1P + Joy Down = Pause / 1P + Joy R = Game Menue ) But maybe I can change the keys in MAME settings... btw ... how did you manage it?

Thank you Tom, I'll give it a try ... The plan is to have 4 different kinds of games. 1 Player (only), 2 Player ( after another ), 2 Player (together), 2 Player (vs) So I thought of pinballX ... with the "manufacturer list" it should be possible ... maybe ... Hope I'll get it made. rgs Gilbert
