  1. Pretty close one going on at the top. I see 3 and 4 tightened up too.
  2. A few additions, a few updates. I had to respond to the charge Dennis put on getting to 3rd place. I'm pretty happy with this bunch of scores here. Wonder Boy in Monster Land ---- 54,040 Rampage ----- 83,825 Monster's World ----- 470,750 Satan's Hollow -------- 54,125 NITD -------- 299,100
  3. Black Widow --- 102,425 ---Wicked awesome action and gameplay, must revisit this one. Chillers--- 14,995 --- Gives me the creeps, and possibly nightmares. Don't care for this one thus far. I might come to like it if I understand it better. Demon's World --- 135,700 --- Typical Toaplan shoot 'em up fun, with smooth gameplay and lots of fun! D and D --- 4,850 --- Haven't really given this one too much, judging by the paltry score I put up. Ghosts n Gobs --- 131,300 --- One of my favorites on the list. Hard and somewhat sticky controls are my only big complaint. Haunted Castle --- 28,400 --- Direct spinoff of Castlevania, which was also made by Konami. Rampage --- 70.125 --- Fun at the arcade, somewhat boring while played at home. Satan's Hollow --- 38,745 --- Quite an original game here. Quick reaction time and the precise usage of your character's shield are big factors that cannot be ignored. Sinistar --- 22,855 --- A downright evil game without the 49 point analog controller. I attempted to use my trackball, and judging by my really low score, failed. Wizard of Wor --- 22,900 --- Take this one at small doses. It is so frustrating, I can feel my mental state being pushed into a bad mood while playing. However, if you can get on a roll it can be really fun. Wonder Boy in Monster Land --- 38,330 --- One of Sega's biggest hit series'. Fun, challenging, and addictive. Looking forward to seeing where I land in the Spooktacular Standings!! I still have 4 more to submit. See you guys soon!
  4. wow. What's your secret on this freaky game? I don't really understand it, could you give me some tips? Amazing score, Jedi.
  5. 684,540 I am finally starting to sense some progress with this one. I know, I should be hacking away at the Spooktacular, but I am stuck to Rygar and have been for the past 3 weeks or so. I will try to get some scores submitted tomorrow. For now, I will be happy with sliding into second. My next goal: to get to that red bible that gives you a million points!! I'm not far away!
  6. I know I can do better than this. On the board for now, I guess. 150,620
  7. Yes, I noticed! Looks like some fun, indeed! I am going to get a DigDug digit in first, though. hi ho hi ho, it's off to digdug we go!
  8. This score took a long time to get. I guess Rygar is one of those games you can really improve quickly if you have the patience to. I'm starting to get to Round 8 on a regular basis. I know there are 27 levels, but I must start somewhere!! Good for third...... 461,130
  9. Well, I got a 68000 run, but I dont gain any spots so I will try again soon to get that number one spot.
  10. I need some practice on battling the enemies on the "Earth" stage. 238,600
  11. Gimme, a tip to help your score a bit: Upon destroying the battleship(when it starts to burn) have 3 way fire or machine gun and shoot your fastest at the 4 pieces of shrapnel that project from the centre of the ship. You get 10k a piece and 100k if you are good enough to hit all four pieces of metal. Always keep your eyes peeled for hidden gems. They are usually located either left or right of the screen and submerged in clouds. Another common spot is directly above the battleships before you swoop down closer to them. To get you started, there is a cow located on the left side in some clouds about 2/3 to 3/4 through the first board and it gets you a cool 20k. On the second board shoot the right side highest battleship as there is a hidden strawberry there. Act fast though, if you drag your feet on picking it up, you will miss out.
  12. Ah snap! I didn't realize the pic was upside down. I will make a point to resubmit right side up, with a 2 mil effort
  13. 1,710,260 Got smoked on the 11th board.
  14. Well guys, I hate to disappoint, but it looks like a 14 board run isn't coming any time soon! I gave er a few runs last night and I kept dying on the 4th level. I will most definitely be giving her another go tonight to see if I can get past that fourth. Actually, I found that the fourth is pretty tough. The 5th and 6th are not difficult, the 7th is tough, then the 8th and 9th are pretty easy.
  15. Oh yeah!! What a solid vertical scrolling shooter this one is!! I will be up there on this one, because I have often been able to get to the 15th on one credit. When I get back to my X Arcade machine in Saskatoon, I will have to have a couple of runs at 'ol 1943.
  16. You were on track for top spot last year when someone we know all of the sudden vanished.
  17. That is info I received off of mame.072 program. I can definitely notice a difference. Mainly in the grunts. STEPHEN is right about the grunts. More numbers and more aggressive.
  18. Man, when you get on a roll, you can pile up a bunch of men quickly, especially with those 5k human rescues. Here is my first submission: Red/Yellow Label ( difficulty 5) 263,825 Gotta love those Williams tough games.
  19. The Yellow Label Default Difficulty is 5 and the Blue Default is 3. Quite a noticeable difference in this game.
  20. 342,000 woohoo, I had like 6 men at one point! Then it really came crashing down on level 4, second time around.
