ok so i updated to version 17.20 and it loads, led blinky startup animation worked but when i select game list in mame it shows no games. tried to update list or select game and crashes and sends me to the error log page. log.txt GameEx.ini

p.s. my gameex arcade edition version 16.97 led blinky is working fine, even the galaga player 1 button flashing which i never got it to do that in gameex. not sure why they're setup the same. log.txt GameEx.ini

tom what is not 64 bit, led blinky or gameex, thx. i'll manully install version 17.20. not sure why it didn't do that when it asked me but no big deal, thx.

hello after updating to newest version of gameex today my led blinky is not working with gameex but does work outside of gameex. it also worked with previous version form several months ago before updating. files attached , thx in advance. log.txt GameEx.ini

Arculator does not have command line support, nor launch in fullscreen. I saw in the launch box forum while google searching command line they got it to work by replacing the .exe with a bat file he made and it mounted it to drive 0. I can run arculator in gameex but I have to choose the config file to launch arculator the select game and launch it manually. But it works in gameex just doesn’t boot directly to game. I will see what they say about these issues. May try another emulator for now . Here’s the pic of the bat file he made. I can’t download the file because it’s private to the launch box community. Thx.

I’m working on it. Since the big new release it’s taking some time for response and I’m sure addressing new issues. I’m hoping it’s similar to apple 2 for mounting disk images

Hello I’m curious if you got any further with arculator. I tried this years back and could not get the command line figured out to launch games. I have it working outside of gameex except my keyboard, can’t get it mapped for some reason, still working on it, but am going to find a similar system to download from the emulator section since gameex doesn’t have bbc acorn systems available . I’ll let you know what I come up with. Anyone else emulate acorn Archimedes? Thx.

hello does anyone have a working command line demul version .07 to run sega dreamcast? i've tried several i found on google for gameex but cant seem to get it for .gdi files. emulator works outside gameex, thx. log.txt GameEx.ini

Tom if you don’t have time or this is pretty involved I would gladly revert back the 14.35 edition of gameex. I didn’t need the update . Just tried to get a different theme but didn’t work like I thought anyway . Whatever you decide and get you I’m fine with. No hurry, no worries, thx.

Ok Tom that took care of it awesome thank you guys so much. As for the apostrophes. Maybe you were referring to the quotes around rom path. That wasn’t my integrated mame setup that was the mame I set up from the emulator section to test with the default command line. I just added the 64 after mame. Mark it done!!!thx.

ok so i went ahead and setup mame 219 from the emulator section just like i did with mame 161 and all is fine so it only erases settings or wont play from the normal mame setup thx. GameEx.ini log.txt

The version that matches my roms I have setup in gameex and that’s the issue(version 219). So are you saying try 219 from the emulator setup where I have 161 thx. Also completely understand everyone’s schedules. I’m just trying some things on my own to help out so you all don’t waste your time doing it thx.

ok so i copied over my mame 161 version and added in my 219 version roms, setup mame and put it as an emulator in gameex and all is normal it did not erase my settings like it does with newer versions of mame. is it possible that as an emulator it works but not through the gameex normal mame setup. im guessing it has something to do with mame itself with the newer updates. also i read this was the last version that had mame and mess seperate . do i need to refer to some mame forums or are there people who who are involved. i'll attach files, let me know what else i can do thanks. another note that may help is that when i updated my new machine from 161 to version 196 or so it has never worked right since then either. thought new update this spring to version 219 would do the trick but i guess not yet. just an fyi i was able to setup nestopia for nintendo and it opened and played fine. settings were not erased thx.

so im wondering if it isnt something to do with my multikeyboard setup. i use ultimarc mini pacs(2 of them). gameex only seems to erase the settings i input for mame. i can still use the keyboard for certain commands in gameex provided they werent mapped to my keyboards by me in setting up mame outside of gameex. i dont get why it would only erase those and not all mame settings if its erasing them.

i did verify and all was good but it wont let me get the last run output only logs.(the option right before the last one)

hello again along with sorting out my gameex issues i also tried to see if evo would launch and play mame game without erasing my mame config but when i launch a game it just freezes and i have to do task manager to close down. also the normal buttons i use in gameex for my select and back do not work. the only thing im able to use in evo is the mouse thx. [GAMEEX_EVOLUTION].log [GAMEEX].ini
