I deleted the hbmame.xml file and removed all references in the gameex.ini to iy. All works great now. Sorry so late but I had a long, cold, grueling work week.

That got it one one setup. The other setup still takes all day to scan folders. I guess because Steam is enabled on that one

Game Ex hung on Black screen when trying to switch games. Ended up restarting log.txt

Deleted all references to hbmane.xml, disabled the GameCube emulator you wanted. Game Ex boots faster but...still hangs when trying to switch games.

I dunno, Haven't tried that. I deleted the HBMAME.xml file and removed reference to it in the Ganeex.ini file Now one setup doesn't take forever to scan folders and the other one does LOL. Also the setup that doesn't scan the folders goes to black screen when trying to change games. I'ma wait it out and see if game ex comes back and post ini and log file

Man, Did all that and it still hangs on loading HBMAME database. Is it because of the game ex.ini file?

Hey I just thought about something I was having problems with RPCS3 not running games as well as it used to. After installing years of updates over current version. So what I did was a clean install and it fixed the problems I was having. That being said, I'm backup my game ex.ini and plugins folder, uninstall and do a clean install of current version and see how it goes.

It didnt for me. still hangs on databases. How do you delete the databases?

Went back to 18.78. and is stable no issues. However I'ma look for the version that doesn't scan all the rom folders on startup. And stick with that. Thanx for all the help, the rest is trial and error on me. Do the other versions of game ex run the pixelcade marquee? I haven't tried any of them.

Hello all, I updated to version 18.99. When it tries to load databases it hangs till the screensaver starts. I hit backspace to exit screensaver, then its another 5-7 minute wait to get to main menu. Is there anyway to go back a couple of versions? I promise once I get something stable I'll turn Auto Update off

Got the latest. And I can play games again using Game Ex. I like using my pixlecade marquee, I dunno why but I just do. Thanx 😎

Hello All, I havent been on here in awhile, I need some help. Is there Anyway to go back to a previous version of Game Ex? I updated to the latest as of today. First Game Ex scans every folder, it takes like five minutes before you can launch a game. Second, once you launch a game there is only a black screen shown, You can hear the game running and even start it you just can't see it. Thanx in advance GameEx.ini log.txt

Only problem I have on mine is TeknoParrot. And Im guessing its because of the weird win 11 on the device. Everything I've played so far plays well. Even yuzu and rpcs3. Xenia doesnt do bad either if you can find a game it likes.

I almost bought one of those, I like the size of the legion go's screen. plus micro center here in Indianapolis offered with HDD upgrades. So I got a 2TB upgrade and purchased a 1TB micro SD card.

I think it's a modified Win 11. As always I had the emulators running outside Game Ex before adding them. I think you are right. The modified Win 11 may be the culprit.

Hello all, I am enclosing 2 logs of gameplay using my legion go. each one I'm playing and switch games a couple of time only for game ex to not launch the game and exit back to game ex. That utility did the trick thank you for that!! I deleted my shortcuts made with RPCS3 and replaced them with the ones made by that program. just make working and ROM directories same as your shortcuts, extension as *.exe commandline a simple "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" don't forget to set map keys as yes and in advanced set to mapping off process close. Now everything runs in Game Ex. Thank you again. Can't wait to add to other setups.
