I have been out of the loop as of late. But I was wondering if there was a new LEDWiz plugin? The current one quit working for me altogether. So if there is a new one in development I would be happy to beta test Since I do have 3 mamecabs & a slikstik solitare unit all electric ice buttoned up with lighted joysticks. Thanx

Umm just my 2 cents nothing more or less. I use my reg file for all my mamecabs (3). and my laptop. I feel like if you purchase software you shouldn't be limited to installing to one PC if YOU own more than one PC. However I do not in any way condone passing reg keys to any1 else friends etc. they can come up with the $$ to reg the software it's not like forking up cash for something like say Windows Vista. Tom & company worked real hard on this so give him a break & respect he deserves. Once again just my 2 cents.

I personally have had experience with the HotRod. I worked just fine till I gave it away when I bought my first Slikstik. I then went on to build my own (which is more gratifying IMHO). If you are a woodworking novice like myself order a blank panel and the parts and get busy! I enjoyed working on my controllers.

Just for the record you don't have to have the LED Blinky plugin to pull that off in Mala, the one I was using works (after the howto was explained to me) thank you for all the help. I will be keeping an eye out for further development of your plugin in the future In the plugin I was using it's just a matter of setting up .cfg files for each and every game you want special lighting for. I opened up the mame source to get the rom names for neogeo and am slowly adding each rom to a seperate .cfg file after neogeo is finished I will proceed to the other games I like create a custom list then I am done. (shouldn't take more than a month )

Ok Thanx the buttons are mapped in Mame accordingly. I think what I am gonna do is reformat the machine and reload everything. This is the only mamecab I am having such problems with (out of 3) & I think it's maybe because the computer had 2 different game ex installs on it the first was D:\Program Files\GameEx & the other one was C:\Program Files\GameEx. I probably won't get to that till tomorrow or Sunday. Once I get all this done I will post the results this problem has to be with the computer itself. I would much rather use Game Ex than Mala. Mala has lil' or no documentation. Game Ex also does everything I need for it to do in a easy to understand manner. I figured out how to change button lighting for my Vanguard buttons on my vertical cab so I am convinced that the problem is the computer. Here is a pic of the panel with Game Ex launching Daphne. If push comes to shove I would rather just light the whole panel up like the encolsed pic. Thanx for all your help it was much appreciated.

I posted my ini files. I went back and enabled always stay lit for all of the buttons etc but as soon as I go into Mame it doesn't work. Buttons light randomly and change color. how do I get it to light up and stay lit and don't change colors? (This is how the panel does when Daphne is ran)

Ugh, I give up I ended up unistalling everything and reinstalling. By the time I got through nothing lighted correctly. So I am gonna implent changes one step at a time and see what happens.

Hehe, editing colors.ini works in some cases (I.E. I have speedup cheats on my pacman games so I have one button lit up) Hmm I am also gonna have to do some digging because it used to work. so I need to edit the .cfg in Mame for each game is what you are telling me? I have all buttons mapped correctly for the led-wiz plugin. I'll tinker with settings til I get it right. On another note you accepting donations for further plugin development? If others want to see further plugin development I'll get the ball rolling with $40.00 USD. Thanx for the help

Headkaze, I am having problems lighting specific NeoGeo configuration buttons. (I.E. the bottom row on my slikstik) only things that will light up are the p1 & p2 coins and player 1 button 5 the rest of the panel does not light up. At the time of the post I did not have those buttons set on "Always Stay Lit" But thank you for answering my question. I suppose I can turn them on and leave them on for those games and disable later. when you add the other stuff and more customizations game ex will be the best bar none! I have tried others with led-wiz support but don't like them. I will wait on game ex.

Headkaze, I have a slikstik C02 panel fully loaded with RGB lights & trackball. My Problem is trying to get the plugin to light the asteroids configuration buttons on my slikstik. I have them in the plugin as P1_CUSTOM1 thru 3 & P2_CUSTOM 4 & 5. I changed the games in the colors.ini to match the buttons but they won't light up for anything. Any ideas??

well for what it's worth I don't do too many consoles ePSXe is a personal favorite. Haze MD is integrated into Mame32+ so it's just a matter of adding games to the colors.ini and last but not least Nintendo (Regular & Super).

Ok here are the Mame .cfg filez zipped. I went back to version 7.73 now screen saver won't run either Is Mame the only emu with lighted button support? cfg.zip

I'm going back to version 7.73 until I hear from you on the subject Take Care. Thanx for this great frontend. On the flipside it's your fault I have made Randy wealthy. The Led-Wiz plugin is very easy to configure and use so I have outfitted all my cabs with electric ice buttons. I even have a single controller project in the works.

Ok, Here's what I did Tom I uninstalled and reinstalled (I even wiped the folder) Game Ex will start without errors now. The problems occur when trying to configure the led-wiz plugin. Here are some screenshots of the fatal errors. Hope I helped Also is there anyway to change the default colors of the buttons from white. I guess Mame is the only emulator with color change support. Hello all, is any1 running the latest game ex and getting a bunch of .xml errors? I can't run anything past 7.73. anything past that I get all kinds of erros at startup and my buttons don't light anymore. Any way to fix that?

Hey I would like to say thank you for the plugin. It's easy enough for a dummy like me to understand Very easy to setup and run. I have tried Atomic FE & couldn't figure out how to use it for my RGB lights. The sequences used in the screensaver mode are very nice! How do you get the screensaver to go on & stay on? mine keeps exiting every 2 mins or so. I have redone 2 out of 3 of my mamecab's with led-wiz's and rgb lights. When my panel comes in from slikstik it'll have all buttons rgb and even the trackball.
