I started and exited Medieval Madness 10 times with no problems. I then started and exited Monster Bash and it crashed: 08:19:49.3 29/10/2013: Launch System 08:19:49.3 29/10/2013: Waiting for threads 08:19:49.3 29/10/2013: Disposing display 08:19:51.3 29/10/2013: C:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\VPinball.exe /play -"C:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\Tables\Medieval Madness.vpt" 08:19:51.3 29/10/2013: C:\PinballX\vpauto.exe 08:19:57.7 29/10/2013: Found PinMAME ROM: mm_109b.nv 08:20:07.4 29/10/2013: Exit System Control Pressed 08:20:10.2 29/10/2013: Created DirectX BackGlass Window 08:20:15.5 29/10/2013: Launch System 08:20:15.5 29/10/2013: Waiting for threads 08:20:15.5 29/10/2013: Disposing display 08:20:18.2 29/10/2013: C:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\VPinball.exe /play -"C:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\Tables\Medieval Madness.vpt" 08:20:18.2 29/10/2013: C:\PinballX\vpauto.exe 08:20:25.9 29/10/2013: Found PinMAME ROM: mm_109b.nv 08:20:40.9 29/10/2013: Exit System Control Pressed 08:20:43.5 29/10/2013: Created DirectX BackGlass Window 08:20:46.3 29/10/2013: Launch System 08:20:46.3 29/10/2013: Waiting for threads 08:20:46.3 29/10/2013: Disposing display 08:20:48.2 29/10/2013: C:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\VPinball.exe /play -"C:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\Tables\Medieval Madness.vpt" 08:20:48.2 29/10/2013: C:\PinballX\vpauto.exe 08:20:54.7 29/10/2013: Found PinMAME ROM: mm_109b.nv 08:21:04.4 29/10/2013: Exit System Control Pressed 08:21:07.2 29/10/2013: Created DirectX BackGlass Window 08:21:13.1 29/10/2013: Launch System 08:21:13.1 29/10/2013: Waiting for threads 08:21:13.1 29/10/2013: Disposing display 08:21:15.4 29/10/2013: C:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\VPinball.exe /play -"C:\Program Files\Visual Pinball\Tables\Monster Bash.vpt" 08:21:15.4 29/10/2013: C:\PinballX\vpauto.exe 08:21:23.1 29/10/2013: Found PinMAME ROM: mb_106b.nv 08:21:36.2 29/10/2013: Exit System Control Pressed 08:21:39.0 29/10/2013: Error. I have Quit and Exit Emulator set to joystick button 6, I don't have anything set for Pause/In Game. I get this sometimes, especially when loading Junk Yard and sometimes AFM.

I'm still getting crashes but mostly when I have had to use ALT + TAB to get my DMD in the foreground. I shouldn't have this issue when I get my 3rd screen sorted out.
-
What is night mode? I saw mention of it but I haven't seen the mode yet.
-
This might be a clue. I went in and out of Medieval Madness 6 times without playing the game and everything worked fine. A problem I'm having currently is that the ROM is activating first and ending up behind the direct2bs backglass so I have to do ALT+TAB to bring the ROM to the front and then click back on the VP table screen (my 3rd monitor broke so I'm on a 2 monitor setup currently). After doing this, PinballX crashes to the desktop when I exit VP.
-
Hi Would it be possible to add support for long presses or combinations of buttons? I have kept buttons to a minimum on my mini cabinet and I have to resort to keyboard for things like pause and exiting PinballX.
-
I upgraded to the latest nVidia driver and PinballX stopped working completely! I'm going to test the latest PinballX with the nVidia 270 driver later.
-
I'll get back on board with this tomorrow, I've been driling and soldering today and finished off with a few games. I'm still getting the odd crash so will try the latest exe.
-
The latest exe is working for me with VP, I don't use FP. It doesn't seem to matter what my hide settings are. Thank you! EDIT: Forget that, if I don't have the hide options selected it only lets me exit once but it's OK for me because I want them selected.
-
I'll be up and running again tomorrow, I'll do some testing then.
-
My cab will be out of action for a day or two for painting.
-
Maybe we can compare setups. I have a 3 monitor setup and my tables are all using directb2s backglasses. VP915.

No change with the latest. By the way, if I do Escape, Quit to editor, close editor, PinballX works as it should.
-
I added a game called 'dummy game' that doesn't exist and PinballX came back when it failed to load the dummy game. I tried the new exe and it also bombed out to Windows. Thanks for your efforts.

I'm at work at the moment so I won't be able to check for sure until later but I just downloaded it from your site yesterday so I assume it is the latest.

Hi I'm new here and I've just set up PinballX on my miny cab that I've been building for the last couple of weeks. My problem is that when I hit E (my exit emulator key) Visual PInball closes but I just get returned to the desktop. There is no sign of PInballX running. Is there anything special I should have set up or is the default behaviour for PinballX to continue running and to pop back up when I exit the emulator? Thanks
