  1. I tried changing the settings for the colour of the table text at the bottom of the wheel and the 'Featuring.....' text but it doesn't seem to work.
  2. Auto-update check/prompt to be able to switch off for those with cabs with no internet access (ie: so program doesn't waste time looking for an internet connection that is never there.
  3. I created a few simple wheel underlays in different colours, and some with textures like wood. Some are pretty rubbish but I was just experimenting. I am sure someone with good graphic skills can do a lot better. FTP site: /Media/Images/Overlay and Underlay/Jupiter_Wheel_Pack I have also attached a zip for anyone without FTP access. jupiter_wheel_overlays_pack1.zip
  4. I just added this to features requests in case it gets lost in this thread.
  5. For tables that don't have a B2S or UVP backglass it would be good to display the static backglass from the media directory. I think it did this prior to version 1.21 before the back glass was blacked out, but now the blackglass shows as black.

  7. New wheel works great. Many thanks Tom! As I don't have any artistic skills I just colored the default underlay.png outline with some red/burgundy. Here is a photo of it in action: And here is the underlay.png for anyone who wants it: Note: I noticed you must have both underlay and overlay in the images folder otherwise the exe crashes.
  8. Sorry about that. I just re-posted it in the correct thread. Believe it or not Tom has implemented it already! Cheers Tom!
  9. Feature Request. Skinnable Background Wheel Image (an underlay to the wheel icons). Similar to Hyperpin which allows a user-defined wheel image to be used by placing an image called underlay.png in the Hyperpin-\Media-\Images folder. The Hyperpin image size requirement is 193 x 720 although 1080p would be nicer.. You will see part of the wheel is semi-transparent. Here is an example image created by someone at VPForums as I don't have any graphics skills. I do not own this image although it could be used for testing. http://vpforums.org/...9/underlay1.png Related thread: http://www.vpforums....e=5#entry132895
  10. Thanks Tom. I posted the request along with a sample image created by someone else in the New Features thread: http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/12904-pinballx-fe-feature-request-and-forum-request/#entry104558

  12. For the 2nd that makes sense. In reality one wouldn't exit a table so quickly. It's only while I was testing my config after reassigning some keys:) Most new B2S tables use the B2S server so this won't be an issue. As you suggest I can probably create a simple AHK to kill the backglass or maybe I will see if it can be closed from the VP table script. Thanks again for the tremendous frontend and first class support.
  13. 1.19 runs really good for me although just have a couple of small exiting issues. (1) For an old-style B2S table launched through the script when exiting VP the backglass stays open. Any else have this? (2) A strange one. I use the ESC key to pause. This does not work for the first 30 secs or so. Play a bit and then it works.
  14. Hey Tom. Tried 1.19 and that is perfect! The tables become visible a lot quicker. Cheers
  15. Thanks Tom!
  16. Thanks for the info. I experimented some more and the timer seems very long. Another example is when I load VP 'Back to the Future' table the "Loading" continues to be displayed for 6-7 seconds after PinMame is initialized. I can actually insert a coin and start the game before the table shows. I have an SSD drive so maybe I am accustomed to very fast load times? I am not sure if this time duration could be configurable, or somehow you can detect when VP is ready. I know this is done from AHK in FPLaunch.
  17. I noticed that VP tables seem to load slower than HP, so I timed a few tables. A non-ROM EM table such as AbraCadabra takes 6 seconds in HP and 15 seconds in PinballX. The table is playable after the 6 seconds in HP. A ROM table like Attack from Mars NightMod takes 4 seconds in HP And 11 in PinballX. However I think it is related to PinballX waiting for sonething to trigger before it makes VP visible. In the case of AFM the playfield only shows after the Pinmame ROM has initialised (ie: 'Testing....' completes) whereas HP/FPlaunch shows it while the ROM is initializing. For The EM table there is no ROM so not sure what the delay is. Is there a setting or could there be a setting to display the tables earlier. I use XP 32-bit with no Videos enabled. The front end works super fast so not a slow PC issue.
  18. Hi Tom Is it possible to create our own wheel skin to sit under the wheel icons at the bottom of the playfield, a bit like the Hyperpin blue wheel? Hyperpin implements it by allowing you to create a file called overlay.png. Thanks ps: Just donated (email: ra___yahoo__) - hope to do some more in a couple of weeks
  19. I am away from home so can't try the favourites until Sunday. Tom - When I tried the PinballX the other day I liked the smooth animation of the wheel image which something HP doesn't have. It is also possible to add our own wheel image too that appears on top of the bottom of the table image but under the wheel icons. It is possible in HP by creating a wheel image called overlay.png - I know some cab users created their own. Just a thought for those who like to see a physical wheel as well. Here is an example wheel created by Zebulon over at VPForums: http://vpforums.org/imghost/99/underlay1.png
  20. Wow that is superfast! - I only asked about it yesterday and it's implemented. Many thanks Tom - will try it on Sunday and will donate. Cheers
  21. Thanks Tom for all the fixes. The interface is really slick. Any plans to allow users to create multiple favourite lists? These could just be a manually maintained files containing a list of table names. This would be great because many of us have several hundred tables and be able to categorise would be really useful.
  22. Initially PinballX didn't work with my current Hyperpin setup in the cabinet. The reason is the Hyperpin media directories for VP and FP are named 'Visual Pinball' and 'Future Pinball' whereas PinballX is looking for 'VisualPinball' and 'FuturePinball'. ie: there should be a space in the name I renamed the folders and it worked like a treat Maybe this path could be defined in the ini file? Also could the PageUp/Down option skip to the next letter and previous letter on the wheel? Thanks
  23. The new front end looks great - thanks. One thing that has always been missing in Hyperpin is the ability to create your own named favourite lists. For example 'My EMs', 'Solid State Non-DMD tables'. Currently I have multiple HP favorite.XML files which I manually rename depending on what I want. Are there any plans to add this feature? Thanks in advance.
