  1. That version works now Tom! Many thanks for fixing it
  2. Many thanks for these
  3. THe AlternateExe tag works great apart from a 20 second delay to exit a table with an EXE other than standard VPinball.exe. It might be fixed in latest PBX release although I haven't had time to set it up yet.
  4. Some here incuding a VP10 (VPX) one: http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=29431&p=328806
  5. Just to confirm that the camera mod does not modify the TPA code that is distributed. It just intercepts DiectX calls and injects it's code to take control of the in game camera, etc. In one of the interviews with Farsight it was even mentioned and they were fine with it, and FS employees have mentioned it in the posts in the TPA forums.
  6. Thanks for the info Lucky1. I was obviously barking up the wrong tree (or more likely in the wrong forest ). Cheers
  7. 30usd is it? - I will take 5 - please tell me your source of information. It's 85 USD plus 20 USD for uninsured post plus import taxes. I agree it is good value and I jumped on to support the PinDMD1 well before it was ready. I simply made the comment support was dropped.
  8. I wasn't referring to PinballX support Tom - what you give us lot in the community is awesome, and I don't see why you should support something for a niche few. I won't elaborate more, but I have issues purely with his support
  9. I would love to see PinDMD1 support, but unfortunately Russ dropped support to the early supporters of his PinDMD project like a ton of bricks ... all 100 of us.
  10. Hi Tom I have been using the workaround mentioned above but it is at times tempormental. Now with so many VPX table being available it would be great if the 20 second table exit can be fixed for the AlternateExe issue. I might be completely wrong but I was suspecting the issue might be with the VPAuto ahk script not looking for the correct exe when exiting. Is the source code available anywhere so I can take a look? - I am sure I remember seeing it at some point in the early versions of Pinball X (although maybe I decompiled it with exeTOAhk but that doesn't seem to work now). Cheers
  11. Many thanks Mace for the workaround. Sounds good. I will give it a go. Cheers
  12. Has anyone else used the AlternateExe XML tag, and experienced slow table exits?
  13. HiI have been away awhile and am just catching up with the new PinballX features. Some excellent additions so thanks Tom. One issue I am getting is REALLY SLOW slow exits from tables only when using an ''AlternateEXE' specified in the XML. It consistentlytakes about 20 seconds for me, whereas the 'normal' VP system exe exits take only 1-2 seconds. If I watch the task manager, as soon as I exit the 'AlternateEXE' visual pinball game, the VPinball EXE in question (eg: VPinaballX.exe)is killed straight away, so it is like PinballX is waiting for something else to occur. Is it something to do with VPAuto.exe maybe? I have pasted part of my log file here. One for the slow exits using the AlternateEXE and one for the default Visual Pinball system exe. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance. 14. Sorry to ask again, but just would like to know if more game lists will be supported in the future. If not I will try workaround like creating a AHK script to copy XML files I want for a PinballX session at start up. I donated to PinballX once and would be happy to do so again to get more bespoke list support.
  15. Hi Tom Is it feasible to support more bespoke lists, at least enough to fill the screen, or it that not possible. Cheers
  16. Thanks again Rockyrocket for the detailed instructions. I can't wait to try this although I am not back with the cab for a few weeks . For other games I guess the key thing they need to be controller friendly. Things controlled by one or two buttons should work. How about the Tinywings type games such as Dragon Fly Free or Ski Stickman, where you use one button with a long press making a difference to the control of the player. Will try and think if some others.
  17. I am not sure if this is an issue with my setup or a current PinballX limitation. Can we only create a limited number of bespoke game lists across all the systems? It seems once you have about 7 (might be 6 or 8 -sorry writing this on holiday) no more get displayed, despite being room on the screen to display them.
  18. Awesome stuff rockyrocket. I must try and get robo-o-bot running on my cabinet. Thanks for all the effort and info! Out of interest how responsive are the flippers - is their any noticable lag, etc?
  19. Russ sold 125 apparently (He said so on VPF) and many of us were early supporters of his project so it is quite disappointing to hear him say don't bother, however what he gave us is pretty incredible so oh well. Many thanks for trying Tom. Like rockyrocket said the taxes and postage are a killer from the US plus a pain to return items to if an issue.
  20. Cheers Tom! Spot on. I just checked and forgot I had indeed been messing with some video settings for VP 9.90 and accidentally left vsync forced off instead of use App setting so back to normal speed now. There is still a 3-4 sec delay after start up image disappears and the log says this: 21:29:38.5 5/26/2014: PinballX - Version 1.84 21:29:38.5 5/26/2014: Loading Settings 21:29:38.5 5/26/2014: Initialize Component 21:29:38.5 5/26/2014: Initialize Display 21:29:38.5 5/26/2014: Loading PlugIns 21:29:39.7 5/26/2014: Created DirectX BackGlass Window 21:29:39.9 5/26/2014: Hiding Cursor 21:29:39.9 5/26/2014: Hiding Taskbar 21:29:39.9 5/26/2014: Load Game List 21:29:39.9 5/26/2014: Loading Database: Visual Pinball 21:29:39.9 5/26/2014: Loading Database: VP New Physics 21:29:39.9 5/26/2014: Loading Database: VP DX7 Tables 21:29:39.9 5/26/2014: Loading Database: PinballArcade 21:29:39.9 5/26/2014: Loading Custom Database: Best Electro Mechanical 21:29:39.9 5/26/2014: Loading Custom Database: Solid State 21:29:39.9 5/26/2014: Loading Custom Database: Ultimate 21:29:39.9 5/26/2014: Loading Custom Database: New Physics 21:29:39.9 5/26/2014: Loading Custom Database: DX7 21:29:39.9 5/26/2014: Finding and matching artwork and videos 21:29:42.1 5/26/2014: Loading Game Statistics and Scores 21:29:46.3 5/26/2014: Initialize Audio 21:29:46.5 5/26/2014: Set Keyboard Controls 21:29:46.5 5/26/2014: Initialize Joystick 21:29:46.5 5/26/2014: No Joysticks Attached 21:29:46.5 5/26/2014: Started 21:29:53.1 5/26/2014: Exiting 21:29:53.3 5/26/2014: Showing Taskbar 21:29:53.3 5/26/2014: Unhiding Mouse Cursor 21:29:53.3 5/26/2014: Launching Exit Program: SetPinballWall.bat 21:29:53.3 5/26/2014: C:\HyperPin\Jukebox\PinJukeLaunch\SetPinballWall.bat 21:29:53.3 5/26/2014: Disposing Plugins 21:29:53.3 5/26/2014: Saving Settings It looks like the game stats is suddenly taking a long time where it was instantaneous before. 21. Hi Tom I am not sure what has happening but everything is running too fast in PinballX only the last few days and I have been using it fine since the early versions. When the app loads the intro text at the bottom scrolls at 2-3 times normal speed. The wheel also rotates really quickly. ie: 1 press rotates to next entry almost instantly whereas before you could see it rotate (although quickly). This speed has the undesirable effect that sometimes backglass doesn't display correctly. I also noticed that after startup image had loaded, screen goes blank for about 3-4 seconds before wheel appears whereas before it was instant. I just updated to latest version but still happening. I am trying to work out what has happened. It is as if the programs timings are messed up. Any ideas what this could be? Cheers
  22. I'm also a PinDMD v1 user. I was going to order a PinDMD v2 from Russ, but it does seem like he isn't shipping them himself anymore, so ordering from the States is too expensive.
  23. As a follow on for this it would be great if we could remove the decade, etc lists. If there was an option in the ini to say just 'show user defined lists only' that would be perfect.

    update 1.72

I have a PinDMD v1 as well and use PinballX. I read recently that Russ said he sold 125 of v1.
