Look in the GameEx.ini for this... # The text that displays at the top of the screen for 'All MAME Games' TitleText=Arcade Games But I don't think Daphne has the option to change to Laserdisc Games. Tom, I agree that merged with the Mame list would be great, but if that's too difficult for now maybe we could at have a rename option like MAME?

Thought someone might want this. I made a map file and cfg for MisFitMAME. I set it as emulator 1 so that it comes right after MAME when the flat menus are turned on. Tha map file is for the complete set in the latest version but you could easily delete any lines you don't have roms for. I tried switching the MapKeys and WaitBeforeKeys to what you said, but the focus on pinmame is still there at start and the exiting doesn't seem to work at all (just stays on the Quit To Editor / Debug / Return box)... so I switched those 2 back to what you had. This is what I'm at so far... Thanks Tom, that's working much better... just a couple more questions and it should be perfect... 1. When starting it leaves the focus on pinmame, so I have to click on the table to fix it. Any ideas why? 2. When exiting, it's leaving everything open (Exit To Editer, Editer, current Table) and making GameEx it all over top. Do I have to configure something in visual pinball to close it? And thanks for your tip, I'll give that a try instead... I'm was just so used to using Excel since I do 40 hours a week at work anyways.

I have the same problem (slow list loads because of network), while your idea is much more automatic (and I would perfer this), you can make a .map file using Excel and ASAP Utilities' Import File function. I haven't got around to actually doing it, but you can import a list of the files in the directory, then I copy another column and Replace ".zip" with "" (nothing) to make my name colum, then export the whole thing to txt. A little messy, but a doable solution.

I tried setting up visual pinball but am having a problem... when I try to start a game it just hides gameex (still running as a process) and I can see that vpauto has an icon in the system tray, no game starts though. It works fine using visual pinmame and opening the game and hitting play. My tables are in R:\PinMAME\Tables and my roms are in R:\PinMAME\Roms, should these be together? Is it a problem using XPFix5? Somewhere in the config I had seen a setting that said those 2 games would pass through any filters. Find that setting and clear them off the line. No idea why those 2 games, maybe just as an example in the default?

No ideas for any of these 4 things? I don't think I'm re-asking questions that have already been covered, I've read pretty much every topic and the faq. I'd really apreciate any help you guys can give me.

Love the program, getting all sorts of emulators set up in it. Just have a few questions that I couldn't find in the forum, docs or ini... 1. Is there an automated way to make .map files? Would the emulator games list load quicker (like the 4000+ nes games)? 2. What config would I use for MisfitMAME? Would I need to set it up as an emulator with a map fle or can the frontend handle 2 MAMEs? 3. Has anyone been able to run Fruit Machine emulators on it? Anyone have a config they can copy here for me? 4. Is there a place to change the titles on the start page... where is says something like (at work, not sure exactly) "MAME Games" and "Emulated Games"? Thought I had more questions, but that's all I can think of right now. Thanks in advance! Really is a great program, much more user friendly than trying to set up 3D Arcade.

I just installed GameEx and set all the paths but when I try to run the program it shows the log as Errors Detected: Exiting right after Attempting to load game list. Any idea why this is happening? log.txt
