I'm happy it looks like MCE, it started out as a MCE add-in and I found out about it on thegreenbutton site, no mention of it back then on BYOAC. I use it with MCE in my living room but when I get around to building a arcade cabinet I'll change the theme and be happy that I can use the same front end so I can copy my config files over and be good to go!
I agree about keeping it clean, but on mine (to go back to the point of this thread) I would probably take the regular background image and add a controller image to the left side as a way to force the controller setup into each seperate emulator without needing a selectable link to a html app.
I like this idea too, it could even be simpler naming, like the default map files. When it comes to things like backgrounds, contol setup pics etc... the more options Tom can give us the better, even if they're all turned off by default so that it doesn't get too confusing for people starting out with the program.
Tom, I like this Help and Controls Idea, I use Playstation2 controllers for all my different emulators on my MCE computer, with this I could take a different picture of the PS2 controller and what buttons are used for each emulator. This would rock. And then when I finally build a cab I could have my button layout with each emulator's buttons on seperate pics as well! Would this html app link be below add to favorites as you suggested earlier in the tread? Anyway to just include the html app below the Add To Favorite (so the pic is always there, not just a link to it)?
I had x64 installed for about 10 minutes by the time I decided to scrap it and reinstall 32. -daemon won't work -winrar won't shell for right clicks -audio driver that came with the mother board didn't work -zone alarm suite won't install That's as far as I got before I decided to wait 6 months before I might give it another shot!
I am about to set up a winxp x64 computer so I think I have to use the 7 series 64bit drivers becuase I can't find anything older At least it's not my GameEx computer!
Can we have an option to hide the Playstation(Zinc) menu? Since those games are covered in my MAME/Arcade list it's not nessesary, even worse is that I'm setting up epsxe and I'll end up with 2 Playstation menus. Now that I've asked you'll probably tell me it's in some hidden bit I didn't find on the ini.
Rob, this seems to work perfectly! With my luck getting this woking there will probably be a new visualpinball release soon that changes everything again! Tom, perhaps you could include this in the next GameEx for others to benefit from? Thanks guys!
Tom, the vpauto that is in the bin.zip is working pretty smooth, I have had the same small problems already mentioned... 1)can't move the pinmame screen without it closing 2)new tables don't always fill in the "Yes I Am" screen. Personally, I could just get around either of these by loading a new game in VisualPinball first. Since the regular opening/closing works I'm pretty pumped already, but does djrobx's script fix these problems?
I seem to have some odd problem with some tables loading now. It seems that during the "rendering table" it crashes/closes and GameEx comes back up. These tables work fine when opening in VisPinball and clicking play and other tables load perfectly with the new vpauto/gameex so I'm not sure what's up with them.
Tom, I'm having the same problem closing... I have mapkeys on but hitting Esc is leaving everything (Quit to Editor, the table, the Visual Pinball) open and opening GameEx over top of that. I'm using your new included vpauto and it works perfect for opening the tables! Any other ideas on how to close them?
