Okies, anyone got the details on where I can find the menu / customisation.. ie I would prefer to put Wii games in one menu (some would be be run with install #1 of dolphin and some with #2) and gamecube in one menu Where is the xml, ini etc file kept I could edit that contains the current game database? ( I'm aware of the tutorial here: ) But im not sure if this will help me acomplish my goal... eg create a menu time call Wii, from there have all the games listed, where they can be launched (and list file edited to say what install / emu to load for certain games) cheers V

official reply : No, i dont think its possible, all you can do is create a controller profile for each game and save it and load the profile before launching the game. ext step I guess Ill look at writing a custom script? I assume I create a menu called WII etc, create the database file and edit it manually for each game.

cheers, stupid me not seeing a board on the main download page figured...eh. there's no board.. Ill report back on this with a solution. cheers

Not sure if this is possible, Basically I want to assign specific control profiles to specific games, Ie you run mario kart, it loads a classic gamepad type layout by default, mario party on wii uses wii controller layout etc... Am I right to think that perhaps the work around would be to simply create 4 copies of the emu, all with seperate controls then constrain the game to open with that particular install only. Edit * sorry the question....if I'm on the right path is there something specific in gameex I need to set per game, and if so how.

Hey guys, tried to search the forums etc but everything suggested has not worked for me. I'm trying to disable the L key (or re-map it). I have the control panel viewer options turned off and removed the paths in the gameex ini file. what am I missing? Also searched all ini files for mention of the vcode or scancodes for L and no luck. basically want the control panel viewer option off. cheers V

Hey guys and or gals, I have multiple emulators etc running successfully through gameex, the problem I have run into now is that zsnes is not recognizing any buttons. All other emulators run fine. Any ideas? I'm sure there must be somethign I have unchecked somewhere but after about 5 hrs of mucking around trying to get my topguns working I need to take a break (and thats a thread for another day) cheers V

no rush anyways playing consoles on arcade cab is ok, but im starting to run out of buttons.
-
excellent, i totally forgot about my macbook pro sitting on charge neglected for the last 3 months, seems to run it pretty well, no frame dropping etc... I'll look to buy a new mb and cpu and mount them in the cab itself... Im in the I want to buy hardware thats enough to run it to keep it cheaper vs overkill and $$ (will end up the arcade will be faster than my home pc cheers again EDIT : or maybe ill wait, lol looking at about $300 for cpu alone.

So I'm looking to update my arcade cab pc but I'm kind of on the line atm of deciding if its worth it. I can't run ps2, gamecub or wii emu well enough to play atm. Anyone running this smoothly? If so what are your system specs and OS? cheers V
-
cheers, small details I always tend to leave out TMNT2 - PC gamecube won't run on my system (I'm about to post requesting system specs for those who can) Used ppjoy originally but whenever I tried to assign a button to the geneic pad it couldn't detect. > then used keyboard to Joy option and managed to get keys mapped (had to have an instance open for each pad) But the game still didn't pick these up. cheers for the help thus far

thanks for the suggestions Now im having to weed out the pc games I was looking at as they use wasd for movement along with the mouse for direction (arcade only has one joystick per person and average of 6 buttons (p1 and 2 have 8)

sorry to be clear, I have 4 sets of arcade controls,, ie 4 hoysticks and pushbuttons. (all through ipac4 interface) Basically the games I'm playing only support one input type per player...eg one player kb, and an extra pad fo each... I tried ppjoy and managed to get one virtual gamepad working, but as there are 3 in total (first one is keyboard so its ok) it's a bit of a pain in the...... hope that makes more sense.. ie, player one is keyboard, keys already mapped player two is virtual gamepad mapped from additional keyboard keys player three is virtual gamepad mapped from additional keyboard keys player four is virtual gamepad mapped from additional keyboard keys
