I use groovymame. It simply just works with GameEx. Please post your gameex.ini and log.

Also, you have lav codecs installed? Please try disabling all plugins to troubleshoot the issue. Thanks. Tom.

The installer should only put the files there if they don't exist. So you should be good.

Are you running anything at very high resolution such as 4k?

When launched from game maanger it then should be automatic. If launched from pinball it relies on the hot key from PinballX. Normally V. Not the same as Alt-F9. When the capturing process is complete in both cases it will exit the game. You may just not be waiting long enough. The extra logging is included in 2.91 so that is fine to use that.

My third and final attempt at switching to SlimDX from Managed Direct X. We basically had to lose full screen exclusive mode for this but even without this everything still runs much smoother in the front end. Hard to support old versions of PinballX. if there are issues with PinballX it requires code which result in new versions. Seeing a lot of folks trying to get support with older versions. Its just not doable.

Okay, here is a patch with more logging. It would be interesting to hear feedback from others on this new feature. I guess that's the internet for you, not a word, other than it don't work! Thanks again for your help testing Pablo. PinballX.zip

Could you post the log with the game manager session please.? Ill add some more logging and post an exe for you shortly. Only thing I can think is existing file or if its a custom list from game manager it may not work. Same issue as the favorites you pointed out. Sounds like it is not that though. Its not even loggint the FFMPeg command line which is strange.

Could you please post a log when you are actually trying to record? What exactly happens? Doe the game manager actually launch pinballx? I will try to add some more logging. It should be noted though that by default it won't overwrite existing files. Could that be it?

That does not look like a crash. The cropping etc is working fine for me. What exactly is happening?

I didn't change the cropping. can you post the log? Maybe a corrupt image?

MAME has its own specific enhanced support in GameEx.

Did you turn off the Hide Topper setting in the game manager?
