I guess we will see. Personally I am happy to invest in the steam version for the purpose of enhancing PinballX for the community. Based on what I have read it seems feasible the steam version could also be available in the future if it just "unlocks" cabinet mode. $500 is too much to spend but happy to see what I can do with the help of others. I did just lay out for all the seasons I didn't have too and that was over $100.

Worth noting that you can also capture backglass videos with the latest PinballX. Along with taking screenshots.

Ill look at the bug. GPU recording should not affect recording of the back glass or DMD and it works for me. It does check they are set to hidden in the XML and that they are visible (enabled). It also won't work if PinballX is running in windowed mode which is basically just for testing anyway. Is the focus issue still present? I think the loading image is a direct3d display issue. The image should be disposed.

It should be implemented. I can't see why it wouldn't work from looking at the code.

I think people (sites) should be prepared for possible other actions coming from the licensor too. May be ruthless and evil, or may be nothing but best to be prepared.

I wouldn't bank on it but who knows. FreeCAMMode may still be the best option since that does these days. Anyway, unfortunately its not going to be around for long by the looks of it. I feel bad for them. There just a small shop trying to do something interesting and creative.

Some small businesses get residential lines to save costs so who knows. I know in some parts of the UK you can have a wait on your hands if you can get them to come out at all unless you have several calls to India. I've had busininess based broadband at the home office before and it still took a while for them to come out when there was an issue. Also customer service in the States is the best in the world (believe it or not).

I just ordered the steam version. Couple of things. Suggest ordering on a credit card so you can get it back if the company goes out of business or something. Also the price is in Australian Dollars so its a little cheaper than it appears although you bank/card issuer will likely charge you a few bucks for the conversion.

You configured Alt-F9 correctly. The only focus related change in 2.90 if I recall was if using PinUp.

Also, I believe the path should just be videos not videos\captures. I expect that is the issue.

There does seem to be an issue with your graphics card or driver. I would suggest making sure windows and your drivers are up to date.

That's normal for windows 10. I believe no gui boot just stops the animation while loading windows. If you really want to hide everything you should look for an up to date shelling guide for windows 10 if there is one. Some windows 10 versions also have embedded mode options which I've not personally not looked into but I know they have not been discussed on this forum yet. Come back and let us know how you do.
